I'd say since you mostly play FPSs, as long as you don't use a palm grip, the G102 is probably the best option out of these 3.

The FK1/2 and the G403/305 are also really good, if you prefer the shape or want wireless (G305)

I have owned the G203 (Identical to the G102 just sold in different regions) And I highly recommend it, it has held up really well and I have never had any spinnout/tracking issues in fps games. It is a tad bit on the small size but my hands are similarly sized to yours and i aim very well with it.

I have used the G402 but it was to large for my liking and since it is getting closer in price to the FK1 then i would save up and buy that.

I have never used the Rival 110 but I have heard great things about it.

This video seemed disingenuous to me, and It genuinely bothers me that you would make a video showing the Msi GL62 with the 940mx Gpu, instead of the faster 960m Gpu, seemingly, just to make the sponsored Origin laptop, look like it was a far larger boost in performance over the previous skylake generation of laptop.
It really does disappoint me that someone who is highly regarded as a ligament source of information in this community would mislead people like you did in this video.

This video was a sad, sad, video for me to watch. There were so many aspects of it that just seemed rushed like the light strips, not having a mATX motherboard, not having sleeved cables, and not having screws for the tempered glass side door. I hope this was just a 'cheat' video because your buffer was running low and you needed to get something out. I don't know if this was just me but I disliked the look of the fan on the cpu heat-sink.
    Keep the scrapyard wars coming!

michael52399 reacted to LinusTech in I think LTT makes up a majority of Vessel views...
IT's late and I'm both hungry and tired from shooting Scrapyard Wars (which by the way is an LTT series and will be airing ad-supported on YouTube very soon for your viewing pleasure).

But there are a few points to address and you've already been patient enough.

I said LMG content would always be free. This was poor wording on my part. There has always been content produced by me and my team that was not necessarily available on a free platform like YouTube.

These "The Boost" videos that we make on contract as a sales training resource for Intel, for example:

In much the same way, Vessel has contracted LMG the production company to create an original series for their platform. They bankrolled the whole thing, giving us an opportunity to make something that otherwise would have been too costly, and per the licensing agreement they own the right to exploit this content. It's their show until such time as they decide it's not anymore.

We played more of a "production company" role in this than we're accustomed to.

This could, and SHOULD have been communicated better, and for that I'm sorry. The community should have heard about this from us FIRST, and not from a random email newsletter, but I've been (and so has the whole team) absolutely busting ass to not only get Nerd Sports produced, but also make sure that we're keeping up with everything else that we've got going on including not having missed a single day of LTT uploads for something like 5 years..

With that said, quantity isn't everything, and I've noticed that not everyone has appreciated the LTT content as much as usual lately, but it's hard for me to tell if that's because they don't like our new direction (fewer reviews, and more exploratory or experimental videos) or if they just saw a video or two they didn't like and raised hell in the comment section - it wouldn't be the first time.. And I will say, too, that honestly if a couple of the videos felt rushed then it's probably because they were.. HOWEVER, the primary reason for the rushed videos was  the entire week we're taking off this week to film Scrapyard Wars Season 4, which will be premiering on Vessel sometime in the next few weeks or so, followed by a release on YouTube 1 week later, which is the standard agreement for OUR content that is paid for by LMG or our sponsors.

Nerd Sports was shot 40% during evenings and weekends with employees taking time in lieu later on when we hire some more staff or when things slow down a little. We were careful to avoid disrupting any of our other commitments because imo you guys deserve the best we can deliver.

Which is another point that was brought up in this thread - "How will LMG keep its commitment to maintain the pace and quality of the other content if they're making Nerd Sports or other contractual content?"

    We couldn't. We're hiring.

I've never shied away from investing in more staff or better equipment or a better facility to make sure that we're doing our best for ourselves, each other, our sponsors and our viewers. If we play our cards right, absolutely everyone wins.

Nerd Sports has been a fantastic learning experience for us, and whether we continue the series with Vessel, create other completely different web series in the future, or just say "fudge it" and flip burgers from now on, we'll be able to do those things better than we could have without having done this.

So bottom line is this. I screwed up the way I communicated "LMG content", which was meant to be content funded BY Linus Media Group rather than content funded entirely by and licensed to a 3rd party, and I screwed up in a MUCH bigger way the LACK of communication about this project. Sorry guys.

Hello all! Long time LTT fan, new to the forum. I wanted to share my build, as it's really been a labor of love for the past month. I trash picked it from a local computer store in December, and it's come a long way since then.

It started life in 21 years ago 1995 with a 486dx2 running at a mind blistering 66mhz, with a massive 4mb ram, and 1mb video memory. The 3.5 floppy disk could hold a maximum data capacity of 1.44MB. As of a few days ago, it now has a an Intel i7 6700k running at 4.3ghz, 16GB's of 3000mhz ddr4 ram, and 8GB's video memory. The 3.5 floppy drive can read up to 512GB of data from a single diskette. This was not a plug & play build. Massive amounts of cutting, fabrication, welding, grinding, a filing were required. It was awesome.

Here's the full build with gifs for proper demonstrations of the floppy drive in action: http://imgur.com/a/fvh1M

Video as per usual looks best on ultrawides.

A cheap and cheerful mITX case by Cooler Master.

    Pros
    Lightweight
    Easy to build in.
Great value-add drive sleds for mounting 2x SSDs or 1x 3.5" drive.
    Cheap. So cheap.
    Pretty good airflow.
    Largely toolless.
Full size 5.25" bay (one of few ITX cases that have this)
Can support full sized graphics cards and PSUs.

    Cons
Can be hard to cable manage
Front fan damn hard to replace.
Included 80mm fan noiser than I'd prefer
Full sized ATX power supply in ITX case blocks some working room.

    Conclusion
Overall a good case. Excellent value for money. Support for ATX power supplies, while they take up a lot of room, means you don't have to spend extra on SFX options.  Cheapest case on the market here, and it offers enough value to be compelling against even more expensive cases and if you're on a tight budget, this lets you spend more money on more important things

i agree with this. net neutrality is very important, but the way that it is being handled is not the right way of going about this.

A lot of this is a FCC power grab.

The way the FCC did this actually wasn't legal, and the court cases that follow this ruling by the FCC will show that.

It could have been done with a simple bill through the house and senate.

It also probably could have been fixed by allowing services like google fiber to use existing underground pathways and thus increase competition for bad ISPs.

Out of all the ways they could have kept Net Neutrality, they used the most sketchy, backdoor, and illegal way to do it, and it's going to bite us in the butt later.
