yimello reacted to mikat in YouTube stops playing when closing lid on S6 Edge
you might be able to find a setting to not turn off the display when closing the lid
otherwise you can get youtube red, which also solves the problem by playing yt videos as music i think

yimello got a reaction from Arenjames in Is the HDD normal when it achieves a 0.5 mb/s minimum transfer rate in HD Tune Pro?
Back-upping files should be a great idea even if you do not see any risks in your hardware If you have no device to put your backups just clone your old hdd to a new ssd and let the hdd lay as a backup. That will be getting you a new and faster drive and the old drive as a backup drive instead of buying an external drive just for backups and still everyday being not sure about your current hdd health.

I think your pc is shutting down because of too high temperatures. Can you check temps?

Have you tried to restart or reset your router? Also updated the wifi drivers? There could be an issue with security key encryption. Does the network passwords have same amount of letter/numbers in your wifi and the one you could connect successfully?
Edit: Try to change the wifi password on your router.

That usually happens if your pc changes from wifi to lan. Are you sure you do not have lan cable connected to pc at the time you are trying to connect to wifi?

yimello reacted to Matt420740 in HP printer printing continuously random characters
Do a hard reset of the printer. Unplug the power connector from the back of the printer while the printer is on, wait 60 seconds and plug it back up.
Make sure to unplug the cable from the rear of the printer and not from the wall, as residual power in the DC brick can keep it from a full reset.

Is the laptop on during the time? If not, then I don't see it being the laptops fault.
Have you tried contacting HP support with regards to this issue?

yimello reacted to daniielrp in How to disable non-admin user UAC settings in Windows 10
I'm not sure this is possible.
The point of UAC is to temporarily promote the standard user to admin in order to accomplish some admin task.
The only way you could stop this to make the standard user permanently an admin and change the setting then.

Temporarily give the user account admin rights, change the UAC setting and then remove admin rights?

yimello reacted to NicolaZanarini in New build - behold the double windowed, SLI powered Defcon One
Hey guys! So, after a long time developing it, finally we're getting around to building the rigs for our crowdfunding supporters.
This version of the case is 99% final, just some minor tweak like cable routing and Plexiglas centering, but overall the design is finished.
With a full build inside you can see what I meant in earlier posts about the Defcon One"showing off both the GPU and the motherboard, without one getting in the way of the othe
As you can see we've used a long SLI cable and PCI-E rizers for the GPUs.
This is the setup for this one:
ntel Core i7 4790K
Enermax Liquimax II 120
AsRock z97m Fatality Killer
SSD Crucial 250 GB
SSD Crucial 500 GB
2x GTX980 SLI
PSU BeQuiet 800W 80+ gold
Now enough blabbing and let's get to the pics, both of the final result and the assembly process.

yimello reacted to WoodenMarker in Noctua bottom case fan with filter (120 mm)
It's hard to tell which would be better in this case. Different dust filters have various effects on airflow which may end up making one fan more suitable than the other. You need to quote a post or tag a member or else they won't get a notification you replied to them.

yimello reacted to sfree4pc in Noctua bottom case fan with filter (120 mm)
Thanks yimello, that is indeed logical, but someone told me that the resistance of a normal dust filter without mesh (I don't know if the holes in the case can be considered mesh) is very low, so the the static pressure of the S12A should be enough (1.19mm), and after that it's all about airflow. What do you think?

yimello got a reaction from sfree4pc in Noctua bottom case fan with filter (120 mm)
I would go with Noctua NF-P12. As you have filter in bottom of the case, you probably need more static resistance/pressure to get and make the actual airflow. NF-S12A is better for a place where you already have good airflow so it would boost it even more towards something you want to cool. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
