Asus Anti-Surge triggering on a good power supply?
Zeludon replied to Zeludon's topic in Troubleshooting
Both? I think it also triggers at low voltage which is pretty much a false positive, i'm not sure if this is what is happening though. -

The TDP of a 970 is 145w x 2 is 290 let's round that up to 300 for non refrence, add on the standard 300 watts for the rest of my system and its really fine, the wattage isn't the problem. -
Asus Anti-Surge triggering on a good power supply?
Zeludon replied to Zeludon's topic in Troubleshooting
I used multiple wattage calculators and multiple forums to find that 750w is definitely enough, 2 970 only use under 300 watts, the rest of the system uses around 300 so that should leave me 150w headroom. -

I don't exactly have another $160 psu lying around. And RMA is hell in australia. -
Randomly, doesn't seem to matter what i'm doing (mostly during games but that is really the only thing I use the pc for), My computer will turn off and an american megatrends screen shows up saying I have been protected from a power surge and that this may be caused by an unstable power supply. This has only been occuring after I installed my second graphics card(or upgrading to windows 10), I know I have more than enough wattage for my system so Im confused as to what is occurring. Here is the voltages after running fire strike and unigine heaven https://i.imgur.com/gbEEuBc.png , they seem to be fine.
