    Hey all just a quick update. I ended up Going for the 2070S in the end. After hearing about all the driver issues and little things like that I decided it was gonna cost more but be a lot less hassle Ended up being with all the fittings backplate waterblock etc under $1700 NZD (Bout $1000 USD) all up. Screenshot of parts below. Just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone for the advice and i'd love to hear feedback if you think I was right in doing so or not?

    Atm moment no I'm only using a 1080p monitor and maybe my 4k tv with my xbox controller depending on the game (fallout 4, skyrim, farcry, etc) I am looking at an ultrawide just because I like the idea of having no bezels and having lots of real-estate for productivity and stuff but I'd also like to experience games that way too. I often play strategy's as well hoi4, CoH2 and a few other that I can see being alot more useful. That is a good point. I guess it boils down to what experience I want and how much Im willing to pay. Do I see Gsync, raytracing and DLSS being worth an extra $250NZD for those features. Im still leaning more towards the Radeon atm. but your point is also valid. I think im with you on this one. i'll jump on RTX when it becomes more optimized and refined. but for now it looks like im joining team red

    Yeah well when you live on one of the most remote area's in the world there's bound to be some setbacks. it's all relative though? I'm earning pretty good money for over here and I'm thinking about upgrading because im finding my GPU is starting to feel a little sluggish in some games. funny how the price is nearly double though huh? $500 vs $1k lol not even considering the Waterblock haha. Yeah I think I will tbh. seems like the best higher quality price to performance gpu out atm. Also my Plan I think there's always going to be a few hiccups when moving to a new generation design. At least they aren't locking things down though I guess? in my industry there's 2 brands and neither of them have any compatibility and both have hugely advantageous Features that the other doesn't have. no industry standards so they end up with their own incompatible designs. I'm looking forward to seeing how the industry shifts over the next few years. I get the funny feeling with the whole Sony, Xbox exclusives thing might really make PC gaming seem more appealing potentially? I mean things like Ray-tracing you might not get at all on the new consoles. who knows though, my crystal ball can't see that far into the future atm haha.

    Thanks for the Reply Yeah I did wonder that. yeah as much as hair works looks great in Witcher and rtx and DLSS sounds great. probably gonna go with AMD on this one then, $250nzd is a bit steep. Thanks for that

    So as the title above i'm torn between the 5700 XT and the 2070 Super, Regardless i'm planning on water cooling as my PC is setup for it and why not right? Currently running a GTX 970. My question is the RTX experience and the Nvidia Features on the 2070s worth choosing over the 5700 XT? I'm From NZ so the Price difference is a little more exaggerated considering the cheapest 5700 XT is MSI's Reference designed at $749 and the Cheapest 2070S is the Asus 2070S super Evo at $979 which is pretty hard to swallow considering the most expensive 5700XT is the ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 XT OC at $949 Anyway its mostly for gaming at 1080p for now with the prospect of upgrading to a 1440p Ultrawide in the future and also media consumption also "probably" 4K on my TV.     Hey Guys, I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SuperClocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 (04G-P4-2974) I saw that EK has a Sale and saw that they still have a 970 Block for sale ( the EK-FC970-GTX). The compatibility under their configurator says my card isn't compatible but after comparing pictures of each the boards look identical apart from the fact mine has an additional heat sink. as seen below: My card: (04G-P4-2974) VS a similar compatible one: (04G-P4-0972) I already have everything else I need to upgrade and I doubt i'll be upgrading GPU's anytime soon so its a worthwhile upgrade. Just thought i'd ask the community and see what everyone else thinks? (Edit: Looking at that heat-sink it looks removable. so im guessing i'd need a different back plate?) Cheers

    Hey Guys, $$$ I am willing to give a little money your way if your willing to help. i'll leave some of the reference material below $$$ So the last 6 months or so I brought my Toyota Mark ii JZX110 (will include pics below) I really like it, Its a great car to drive. However it is an import from Japan and still has all the old navigation system still in. I've had a pretty hard scouring and have had no luck whatsoever finding a link thats not dead, 404, or one of those stupid surveys that never give you the file. so I've given up on it and decided to remove it entirely . Only problem is it controls the air-con aswell!!!! anyway I could tell you all the stuff i've tried but im not gonna waste your time with it if you want to read through here is a link below: http://www.jzx100.com/forum/topic/17072-wiring-diagram-jzx110/#axzz4nBhjNy8W So basically What I am wanting to do is make a controller for the air-con and/or possibly a controller that tricks the system into thinking it is communicating with the CD Stacker that can be controlled via a carputer or a tablet or even a physical means. But I don't have the technical skill for this but I have done alot of the research and have alot of reference information and even some other attempts at it. I would kinda like to knock it on the head and make something open source for others with the same system or even different vehicles with AVC-LAN to use. So from what I read if I want to use anything like an ardiuno to control it i will need a comparitor system, however I have no idea how to do that.     Defiantly! I was thinking I could use it as a media pc too and just slap a 250GB SSD in and put steam OS on it and stream from the lounge so it would have a double purpose only thing is I'm not sure of any m-iTX M/B's around? Hopefully there'll be a couple out soon! or else that might not be an option

    ====================================================***Update***======================================================================= I've been looking around the internet for a theme the last 2 or 3 days and had the idea of maybe using A Black Corsair 780T for my Streaming rig/LAN rig and being a 380T. My Previous thoughts were my LAN rig being a H440 and my main being a 900D or the caselabs STH10. But an ITX would be much better to carry? Thoughts?

    ===========================================================***Update***================================================ So I've been doing some Research over the past few days looking for a good quality RAID box that'll fit my build I was thinking the WD Thunderbolt Duo for a while but I was looking for one with more HDD slots. well after a few hours of googling and some price comparisons I found http://www.drobo.com/storage-products/5d/ to be a decent quality and pretty much what I am looking for, I wished it was thunderbolt 2 and if it had a M2 slot instead of m-sata but it still pretty well fits what I think im looking for. second thing I tried was made a mock windows on a RAID drive and move a RAID OS from one PC to another, the RAID config wasn't recognized from one PC to another so hot swap is defiantly a no go. I might do another day of mucking around after my night shift tonight and see if software RAID makes any difference?
