  1. If I am understanding your question correctly, you want to extend the iPad screen space over to the Mac like how you can on the Mac side. unfortunately not the iPad will only mirror its screen to the external screen.
  2. This is due to the installer losing connection during the update / install process. See here for additional info. I would recommend trying to re-downloading the installer or using internet recovery on a more stable connection. Best of luck.
  3. I can vouch for them, used them to replace a nexus 6p battery I was skeptical as well. But they did a good job no complaints.
  4. Never seen that one before, what you can do is select the process (click it) and select the information (the i in the circle) button at the top. Next to the kill process button. Should give you more information on the process.
  5. Did you create the bootcamp partition using the apple tool? I know sometimes drivers don't get installed properly or the install skips some. I would recommend booting back into the macOS side and downloading boot camp drivers manually. To do this just reopen the boot camp utility and in the top click actions -> You will need a USB or external hard drive to download them to. Then just re boot into the windows partition and run the setup for the drivers, heads up the setup will attempt to reinstall all drivers, but can glitch out (it's just buggy). If you know which drivers your reinstalling you can just manually sort through the driver folders till you get the ones you want specifically.
  6. I don't have an M1 Mac to test this for you but can you try the following command: "codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/AppName.app" It will try to force sign the app and give you permission to run it.
  7. There are a number of methods; I'll recommend this one. Compare it to where your currently at might need to add qbitorrent as a systemctl. Also when you use the command "sudo systemctl status qbittorrent" should tell you if there are problems.
  8. (Disregard miss read your post) You can but I know its only applicable to devices with more than 4GB of ram, Using an app called UTM you can run vm's this is from the ALT store and will require you to sign the app certificate with your apple dev id i believe. Snazzy labs has a video on it here. Hope this helps.
  9. You can try holding command + r to access the internet recovery options (if available) if not you may need a second mac to build an macOS installer / usb.
  10. Hey all not sure if this is the right place to post this, can I use a Thunderbolt 3 6ft cable to charge / transfer data between the 2 devices? Or does it have to be a apple / generic USB-C cable? iPad pro -> ThunderBolt 3 cable -> MacBook Pro 2016
  11. I would say yes that is abnormal, the system size will grow over time based on various usage; eg old updates, only itunes files, various other caches, with over a year of usage my mac is only at 32 gb for the system size. I would recommend opening About This Mac > Storage > Manage and see if you can clear some space that way. Else you may need to use a 3rd party tool like cleanMyMac (may others I don't know). Worst case scenario you will need to back up your data and reinstall macOS.
  12. Try this may or may not work in your scenario 1) create or open this conf file: sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/zz-nvidia-modeset.conf 2) add the following line: options nvidia_drm modeset=1 3) update your initramfs sudo update-initramfs -u 4) reboot Side note: are you using proprietary driver from under the additional drivers under settings?
  13. If I understood your question correctly this article has guide to disable and re enable. But as the poster above stated tape works well too.
  14. They are practically the same with some underlying feature changes but the main change you will see is the GUI interface. Some interface and GUI's are lighter / heavier (more animations and textures some carry less) this comes in handy when running on older systems or laptops.
  15. Could be a bios based issue, have your tried checking the core voltages etc in the bios? and if your board on cool-n-quiet mode?
  16. There should be a settings under WI-Fi > Modify network, advanced> manual you can add proxy settings I believe?
  17. If I am not wrong the 2016-2017 Mac Books have this issue due to the T2 chip. There is a work around you can use found here. This may help in your case but I have not tested personally.
  18. I mean it was working before right and just swapping the OS should not have cause it to fail to boot etc.
  19. Hmmm that's pretty strange, earlier when you were checking the hard drives did you open the laptop? If so maybe try making sure the drives are properly connected same for the ram if it is seated correctly? At this point for me I can only recommend trying to install Ubuntu and see if it runs stable?
  20. Have you tried installing win10? I'm just asking to see if its operating system based issue or even a linux based OS?
  21. Might need to checksum your windows 7 ISO file to make sure its file integrity is ok. The ISO file could be damaged or missing some data. If that checks out and the checksum comes back with no errors try using a different media creation tool. Example Etcher or Yumi USB tool's.
  22. If your running Solus does Unetbootin work for you?
  23. Could be the format of the drive, or etcher I have had issues with in the past. Have you tried another USB / another flashing software? I would recommend Rufus or YUMI.
  24. Have you tried using a different USB with a fresh macOS installer? Could be the current install media. (Worth a try had it happen before)
