    If your really trying to scrimp on money get a 8350 and a MSI 970 Gaming, I'm happy with mine and they are as crap as people say.Otherwise go Intel as you seemed set on that and there are more Intel boys on the forum to help you out anyway.
    As for 8 cores, yeah I think games might go this way (this argument was around when it was single/dual cores vs dual/quad cores) but your betting on something you can't guarantee and it could be another 4 years for all you know.

    I know I can tell by the "ugly ass brown" quote.
    Yeah you'll be happy with the cooler just make sure your case has enough clearance for it.

    Get the be quiet! It is often regarded as the quietest air cooler (meaning quietest cooler full stop) and performs just as good as the phanteks (just alot quieter). Also on a side note, if you are british, please spell "colour" correctly

    Well, first of all. The console have 2 core dedicated for the OS (So the OS and the game will not interfere with eachother). This gives the game developer 6 threads to work with. Then considering the lack of control, I do believe game developers decrease the amount of cores used, to limited confliction.
    I will recommend the core I5 4690k over the FX 8350, even in the long run for gaming.
    The core I5 4690k will have a much more balanced single-core/multi-core performance.

    wiktor1800 got a reaction from LukaP in RODE PSA1 Studio Microphone Boom Arm
    This Is a £60 or $99 Studio microphone boom arm made by RODE. The summary goes as follows:

    PROS -
    - Very premium quality
    - Heavy, sturdy design
    - Doesn't droop
    - Holds my super heavy microphone with no bother
    - I think the product will last a VERY long time
    - Comes with Velcro cable wraps to keep your cable in place
    - 2 methods of mounting

    CONS -
    - Expensive
    - Came with a tiny scratch on base (noticed it after filming review)

    Here is my little 2 minute youtube video showcasing the product, If you are giving feedback on this, I'd like to receive some more technical criticism (Video quality, editing, audio levels, compression)

    Cheers for your time, Wiktor

    Yes, but your 8350 would never be close to just a little short of power, it would always be lacking.
    Trust me, I've used the FX-6100. It's horrible.

    I went through the thought processes you're going through now and I made the wrong decision by going AMD.
    I'm upgrading to the 4690K soon.

    6 cores vs 8 cores -> 33% difference.
    6000 vs 9000 -> 50% difference in Passmark.

    Great benchmark though.

    If you're not overclocking you could just get a 4670 (nonK) and a H81 board to save a bunch of money, motherboards for 8350's are more expensive so the price difference isn't there at all. Like most here already said, gaming isn't about multithreaded performance but about single threaded performance which i5's have a huge advantage in. 8350's having an average advantage of 10% in multithreaded performance just makes the i5 a better allrounder for people who game and do productivity.

    8320/8350's only make sense if you are seeking the best multithreaded performance/price with no intention to overclock. If you want to overclock a 8320/8350 you need an expensive cooler/board that would just cost as much as a Xeon/H81 combo and still perform worse.
