Buying new 144hz display for competitive gaming
wiktor1800 replied to wiktor1800's topic in Displays
Well there's another option, I can get the Benq XL2430T for £280, is it better than the ASUS? I'd happily spend an extra 30 quid to get a better monitor. -
Buying new 144hz display for competitive gaming

Cheers for that, I currently have 2 benq 1080p 60hz panels sitting infront of me right now - the quality isn't great but i guess i'm used to it. Ill guess I'll stick with ASUS -
I have recently got into competitive gaming and I feel the need to upgrade my monitor not only to get the competitive edge but for the smooth experience everyone rambles on about. In my mind I have 2 144hz displays, the Asus VG248QE and the BenQ XL2411Z. BenQ is £50 cheaper, however I heard the colors weren't as good. Has anyone got any feedback? These fall into my budget (200-270 pounds) Cheers for the help!

Motherboard to match 4690K
wiktor1800 replied to wiktor1800's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I have a white AIR 540, that actually does look nice, out of my price range though -
I'm planning to buy a motherboard to go with the 4690K with a slight OC and I have a budget of £100, Is the ASUS Z97K a good option? (http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97K/)

Whoops, multipost! Excuse this one!

Kuhler, Need a nice, silent CPU cooler
-
Is noctua the only make that sells super silent fans? Why do they have to make such ugly fans
-
I was actually considering buying it when you said 180 dollars. I looked on the uk site and i was like nope.jpeg

So I have an AIR 540 and the components inside it are as loud as a twin turbo v8 leafblower on 1000% power. And I'm not kidding. I am planning to invest around 100 pounds on keeping my PC cool and quiet. I've already bought a "be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3" CPU cooler, and now I have to tackle the problem of the loud-ass fans. I really have no experience when it comes to choosing fans, and I don't think there's a way of choosing the 'best' one. So I need 4 120mm fans and I'm 100% stumped with all the brands, bearings, fan blade designs, motors, sizes etc. tl;dr - My PC is loud as fuck and i need 4 x 120mm fans that are quiet, but also push enough airflow to keep it acceptably cool.

179$?!?!?!?! God dammit Logitech, It's £160 pounds in the UK, which is like, 250 dollars! What the actual ...

I actually might go for that one, it looks amazing. Benchmarks also prove It's quite a good performing cooler, + It's quiet, just what I wanted haha! And yeah, I live in Scotland, I just spend way too much time with 'muricans on the internet

Dont worry about ex VAT, the actual price is the one inc VAT Nope, my RAM is quite low profile (old G-skill ripjaws - http://www.abload.de/img/rl-d4qug.jpg) and i hate the look of all the ugly ass brown and beige noctua fans, it's the color of a retirement home. The thing i like about the phanteks, is that it looks quite nice and the white and black is nicely color coordinated towards my build. Is the be quiet - quiet? I have my PC right next to me and I have the AMD stock cooler. 2 words - leaf leaf blower. I kind of want the quiet/performance ratio to be just right. My pricing is quite flexible (-+ £20)
