  1. Banned for lying about how grumpy you are.
  2. Also I had it replaced since I thought the unit was the issue (tried with multiple sources and used internal apps)
  3. I just got the lg pf1000u and I am connecting it through hdmi to my desktop. The audio seems to be out of sync and playing around in the projector menu settings has not fixed anything (it has some audio sync settings but nothing seems to fix it). Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? It also makes the visuals on my desktop be out of sync. My graphics card is a 980 ti if that makes any difference. Thanks!
  4. This thing would be amazing in home theater setup that can also be taken out for adventures!
  5. Libre is better bc openOffice has adds if I remember correctly. I have been using libre for a while now.
  6. I have had a lot of apc ones: http://www.apc.com/template/country_selection.cfm You might be able to get one big one to power it! Or they make them in smaller sizes so you could have one for each setup?
  7. I would say it depends on what you are doing... are you just gaming? If so then you can get away with a 4770/4790. If you are doing content creation and vm's then the 2011 cpu will be of benefit to you.
  8. Which Uni? I'm at uni in Toronto now....
  9. Banned for having no profile picture.
  10. I meant air 240 holy cow my bad Yeah I meant air 240 and I was not aware of the 780ti being all that bad (I had dual r9 290s so I have had power hogs...)
  11. Check out the corsair 250D that is small and fits a micro board. It also has ample room for video cards... Linus has a video about it! I have a 500w psu and a 980 ti with no issues... you should be fine. For cooler, if you are up to it, you could do a corsair h50 -80 in the 250d
  12. Yeah I was looking at that and the benq 27in 144hz monitor. Any suggestions for a 4k monitor that would be good for gaming and programming?
  13. That's what I was thinking. I was just interested in the back plate if that would make it better since the machine has intake vents next to card. But I will save the money and get a reference card.
  14. I am planning to bring my shuttle xpc to college and it is time to get a new graphics card for it. I have this shuttle: http://www.amazon.com/Shuttle-LGA1155-Gaming-Barebone-SZ77R5/dp/B007UZO3F6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1438707231&sr=8-7&keywords=shuttle+xpc My plan is to use the machine for a long time so I was going to go all out on the graphics card as the shuttle already has 16 gb of ram and a 3770k. I am trying to choose between a 980 and a 980 ti. Also up for debate is which cooler to go with. I was considering going with the evga and back plate but I am unsure if the airflow would work in the small machine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487142&cm_re=980_ti-_-14-487-142-_-Product I know this will fit as I made a cardboard one to test fit it. If not I would get a reference one. I am also debating moinitors... 27in1440p 144hz vs 4k 60hz at various sizes vs 34in 1440p My questions are: 1. Should I pay the extra for a 980 ti? 2. Which cooler solution should I use. 3. Any input on monitor for someone who will game and use it to program for a cs major? Thank you for the help!
  15. I love my dt990s but those are a little bit above your price range. Just found this version with lower price: http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT-990-Pro-250-Professional-Acoustically-Applications/dp/B0011UB9CQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437447059&sr=8-1&keywords=dt990&pebp=1437447068719&perid=197E6D0KJJA5HPD8HGBF

  17. Update drivers for gpu? Edit: Also google issue + ur mobo and gpu
  18. Try a different flavor of Ubuntu and see if it works, just try the live version. You can also try googling your motherboard linux drivers. Final idea is to test it with a usb dvd drive!
  19. Sell it... or just tell them why u want a new one. Don't lie...
  20. I read a lot of sci fi. The other thing I did a little of was online tutoring. I used Revolution Prep and they were very helpful!
