  1. You can fit a 480 into the Merlin SM8, in the roof or the floor. Most of the Magnum series except 480s & 560s as well.
  2. Update #5 Here are some photos from Mundi from @Icemodz on the patterns for the sleeving don't they look lovely The color is kind of off due to the lighting. The final picture is more of a accurate colour match Will take more pictures once I get the cables in my hands haha Enjoy!
  3. Haha yea the price goes up with all the extras, but totally worth it.
  4. What kind of FPS are you getting on bf4 @ 1440p? I was thinking about getting that 24 inch 4k panel from dell. But kinda concerned about that 3GB frame buffer
  5. running 1.55V to get 5.0ghz on a 2011 chip seems a little much. Mine does 4.9 @ 1.4V. The highest I've gotten it is 5.4ghz @ 1.52V and I didn't see a point in running it that high. 2 360 Monstas will be more than enough to cool a 2011 chip.
  6. I've applied it like this on other 780s, they all been fine. EDIT: I'll take the block off and see how the spread was like. If it is fine ill just keep it like that.
  7. If you get the front window, you could mount the res right there, It would look pretty sweet, just an idea
  8. Yes 2 360 Monstas in the top, a 360 monsta on the side, and you could squeeze a 240 monsta in the font. I went for the window/360 drop in mount on the top just because Its only 2 GPUs and CPU. One you try a Caselabs case you will not want to go back to your previous case. Personally, I like the look of the SMA8, its kind of like the 900D except with better options and build quality.
  9. If you wanted to It can support a maximum of 3 360 and 1 240. There is an option for dual 360 mounts in the roof. Head over to Caselabs website and configure a case for yourself. The options they have are endless Edit: They even have custom options for what you want your case to look like in terms of colors, window options, Extended tops, Ventilation types, it goes on and on. If you wanted something like your 900D check out the Magnum SMA8, although that case is in the 500+ range. I have one and I'm loving it Was 600 after all the options and add-on, but totally worth every cent. The Mercury S8 was around 450 after everything was said and done
  10. If you really want silence, look at either Noise Blocker ELoops or Scythe Gentle Typhoons, when undervolted the NF-F12s are louder than those two and push, roughly, the same amount of air.
  11. Please tell me its Distilled. If it is, Distilled
  12. Couldn't agree more After going with Caselabs for a previous build, I cant look at other cases the same way. It is definitely worth it!
  13. I had the 900D for about a week or two. I cant say i liked it. It's general construction is horrible. Had way too many QC issues, went through 3 cases before I found one that didn't have any warping. I don't know what people like Corsiar cases, they just take a steel frame, put plastic around the outside then plate it with a thin aluminum sheet and call it a "premium" case. That's not what premium is, and I wouldn't pay 350 for a steel box with plastic and a thin sheet of aluminum. Caselabs, does it right, It is 100% Aluminum construction. There Built Quality and sheer amount of thought they put into each case is amazing. Every case they make is truly up to the customers liking. Did this case cost more than the 900D? yes. Was it worth it? Hell yes. Once you go Caselabs, you will never go back to those Bigger companies.
  14. As per EK instructions and everyone's general knowledge, GPUs do need that much thermal goop. This is because when you apply a block to a GPU the compound doesn't spread thus more is needed. You can even watch Linus's video on installing a waterblock on a GPU he applies more than he would on a CPU and spreads it. Something you wouldn't find when applying to a CPU. I've been installing GPU waterblocks for years now, and haven't had a single card die. I think I would know what I'm doing at this point..
  15. Update #4 Just got my GPU blocks today! Here's some pictures for you guys as well as a test fit of my progress so far, hope you enjoy! Should have another update soon when I get more radiators, fittings and the acrylic tubing. My sleeving order from Icemodz is almost finished as well The Block The Backplate All padded up and ready for action Test fitting Some shots of the CPU Block, Just looks too good.
  16. The 750D is not fully made of metal. The frame is made from steel the front is plastic with a thin sheet of aluminium glued to it.
  17. Memory Express, Price match and take a extra 25% off the difference, too good to pass Especially since shipping from them is cheap and theres one near me for local pick up!
  18. He used 2 PSUs to power a CPU and 6 GPUs. I don't think your system has 1/2 a CPU and 3 GPUs. I assume you think that he has 3 GPUs on 1 PSU and 3 GPUs and a CPU on the other. Most Likely its 4 GPUs on 1 and a CPU and 2 GPUs on the other.
  19. Is your CPU overclocked? I had that same QCode on a Haswell build I did for my friend. It occurred when I was reaching the OC limits of his CPU. You may want to clear the CMOS of your motherboard and see if you can get back into windows under normal frequencies.
  20. Looks pretty good. The finish is nice, slight imperfections that are visible
  21. This cant be a thing.
