    Cacao

What kind of cooling do you have?

  2. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

2 EK 480 XTX rads, 2 ek 240 XTX rads, and a ek xtx 120 rad.

Also go 4 780s in the loop. At full load its at 55C in 25C ambients. 780s are at 35C

    Damn! I can't get my 3930k past 4.6ghz :/

Do you have a setup video or something? I would love to see your PC!

    WildTurtle

Not at the moment, im packing up all my stuff tomorrow because me and my girlfriend gotta move to the apartment for fall semester. Summers been fun but I gotta finish med school.

Just a FYI, I only get to keep 2 of the 780s :C She wants 2 for her build.

    WildTurtle

PS: LGA2011 FTW. Who needs haswell when you can get 3930ks at 5+Ghz!

  6. Cacao

    Cacao

Definitely! Unfortunately I got the short end of the stick :D My CPU can't overclock for shit. Is your 5ghz stable?

  7. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

It was stable at 5.2GHz @ 1.45V, Im trying just decrease the voltage now. Dont know why, when im at 55C @ full load with 25C ambients.

  8. Cacao

    Cacao

That is a pretty high voltage, see how far you can take it at 1.4v, that should be pretty safe for 24/7 use since you have very good cooling.

  9. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

i think 5 rads is good cooling wouldn't you? ;p

I think im fine at 1.45V

  10. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

I think my gf wants my chip because I cant get hers past 4.7ghz

  11. Cacao

    Cacao

If it's good for you, it's good for me :D

Just don't push it any more than that!

  12. Cacao

    Cacao

I want your chip too :(

I love that sound when you get Gentle Typhoon ap-15 and all you hear is the movement of air, so soothing.

  14. Cacao

    Cacao

I have corsair sp120 fans, which are pretty much silent from where I'm sitting, the only thing I can hear is a very slight 'moan' of the pump.

  15. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

Ahhh, yes. What pump are you using? Just out of curiousity.

  16. Cacao

    Cacao

Swiftech MCP35X, it's really among the only ones that would've fit my config and doesn't look absolutely terrible, since you can see my pump through the side panel.

  17. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

ahh, I bought 2 Swiftech D5 PWM pumps. I intalled the pitspower mod top and pump mod with the res top mod aswell, just to make it look so gorgeous!

    Cacao

:O yeah those do look awesome! Too bad not even one of those would've fit in my case since I have a long ass reservoir. I almost went with a 900d as well but it wouldn't have fit on my desk, so I wouldn't be able to stare at the beauty! I'm really curious to see your build though, I really hope you'll make a video some time!

  20. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

My GF likes the look of the 900d but hates the sheer size of it, so she decided to get the 350d. Looking at the two side by side is kind of funny. She wants the exactly same pump with the same mods aswell, there goes another 250 dollars for the pump and res.

  21. Cacao

    Cacao

Woah how are you going to fit all of that in a 350d? Have you done it already?

  22. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

I'll get you a list of her parts. Its, not built yet.

  23. WildTurtle

    WildTurtle

She may want to go to Haswell, and give her 3930k away.

  24. Cacao

    Cacao

Well it's definitely going to be a tight squeeze!

  25. Cacao

    Cacao

Well I think she'll have to, to my knowledge there aren't any mATX 2011 boards.
