  1. Hello!! I seem to have found the issue!! Apparently my phone doens't go well with the Router's Wireless N mode!! Fiddling with the settings i discovered that if i set it to wireless bg it goes up to 15 Mbps, but if i set it at Wireless bgn or wireless n only it drops to 4 Mbps Sent an email to Huawei's Support Center about that, let's see what they answer I will try to borrow another Wireless N router for the moment so i can try to understand if it behaves this way only with this one or if the issue is with the phone
  2. Hello!! As i wrote in the title i'm experiencing slow wifi speed with my P8 Lite. I've done some tests myself and i've noticed these things (speed tests have been made with SpeedTest App and on their page for the test with the PC connected via Ethernet Cable): -This problem happens only with my TP Link W8960N router, it goes around 4/4.60 Mbps while with Ethernet Cable i get around 15 Mbps (i have a 20Mbps connection and i get around 19 Mbps from the router config page. Quite shitty compared to the rest of Europe and the world but here in Italy i can consider myself lucky ). I've tried an old Zyxel P660HW-D1 and i got around 14.70 Mbps speed. After that i was wondering if it could be an issue related to the TpLink so i tested the speed with my old Galaxy S2 and it reaches about 15 Mbps speed. This happen to be an issue between the Tp Link and my P8 Lite then -I've been having this issue for quite some time, and at first i thought it had to be a Router's issue, so i began fiddling with the settings in its config page. After some tries i saw that changing some settings like putting it to 11n mode only or setting the bandwith to 20Mhz instead of 20/40Mhz made the phone go at around 15 Mbps, but then after a short while it went back to 4Mbps I really don't know what to try at the moment, it looks like there is some sort of incompatibility between the TPLink router and my device but i don't see how to solve it, and also it began showing up only in the last few months, i bought the phone in August and it all went smooth at the beginning, now i honestly can't remember when it started acting like this Did anyone experience a similar issue with the P8 Lite or ony other device? If yes any hint on a possible solution that doesn't consist in buying a new router would be fine Thanks for the help in any case, and please suggest me if it's better to move the thread to the Networking section
  3. Bought the Dell P2414H this morning, got a used one because they hadn't any new one, spared about 20€ from new plus 20€ with a promotion discount on wharehouse deals' stuff
  4. Hello everyone!! Sorry for the double post, but since some time has passed i would like to update the situation I think i will be buying the monitor this week or the next one, i've narrowed the choice down to these, i've been looking a bit for any review about them, gave the priority to more professional reviews that i could find from sites like tft central and similar, but i've also been looking for user reviews. The only one i was unable to find good reviews is the Acer, for the other ones i've found a lot of reviews and user opinions and i didn't read about any particular problems. Acer G247HYLbidx AOC i2369Vm Dell P2314H Dell P2414H AOC i2470Swq AOC i2470Pwqu (the price went a little bit up, it was around 190€/212$ now it's over 200€/220$ or more) LG 24MB35PY So, if someone could tell me which one would be the better choice considering my needs written in the starting post i would be very glad!!
  5. Ok, i'll get to work to discover any other screen Thanks a lot!! Looks nice even if it's not an IPS panel, i'll give it a good look! At the moment i've been taking these into account (200€ / 226$ max, with DVI and/or DisplayPort) Benq GL2460HM (TN) Acer G247HYLbidx AOC G2460VQ6 (TN) AOC i2369Vm AOC i2367FH (Not available at the moment, only HDMI and VGA) Asus VX239H (Only HMDI and VGA) Dell P2314H (from what i've read it might not be that good with games but i can put up with that) AOC i2470Swq AOC i2470Pwqu LG 23MB35PY-B LG 24MB35PY-W AOC e2460Pq (TN) NEC E224WI Asus MX239H (A little out of budget) Hope there is something good among one of these, if not i will consider adjusting the budget a little bit. At a first glance the two Lgs and the NEC don't look that good to me, but i might be wrong
  6. So, in the end, do you suggest staying on a 22" monitor with that viewing distance? Or a 24" on a 95cm/1m viewing distance could do good? I'm thinking in terms of the "retina" explanation you mentioned before, if the 24" 1080p becomes "retina" at 94cm if i use one of them at around 1m viewing distance it should be good enough, or is the viewing distance too much to make me benefit from it? Really, i'm way more confused than before about that
  7. At the moment i'm at about 75cm distance from the screen (viewing distance) but i could go up to 1m if i move the screen back (i have a lot of free space on my desk since it's fairly big) I do believe, viewing distance considered, that i can rely on a 24" to have the best viewing experience? Or am i wrong?
  8. It could be a nice one, it sells for around 227$ on the Italian Amazon so a little bit above my budget, but it doesn't have a DVI or Display Port. I've read it comes with an HDMI to DVI cable but if possible i would avoid adapter or cables with different ports, i've always had problem with that Furthermore i would be happy if i can find something below 190$, around the 160/170$ mark would be a great thing but if there isn't anything good in that price range i can go up
  9. Hello people!!! As i wrote in the title i would like to buy a new monitor, at the moment i'm using a 17" 1440*900 monitor that's torturing my eyes so i need to change itI've had this idea to change it for some time, i started with the idea to get a nice 25 or 27" 1440p monitor but they are too expensive for me at the moment sadly I've since considered i'll go with the more "cheap" 1080p I'm not sure about the size of it, i've read that there is a "perfect" size for every resolution, for example i've read that usually 27" monitors are not good with a 1080p resolution and they suggest to go 2k for 27. I would like a monitor between 22" and 24", which is the best size for the 1080p resolution?I will use the monitor for Internet surfing, emails and documents writing mainly but also for some mixed gaming, mainly titles that need mouse and keyboard to be played, i will play a little bit online but at an amateur level I was planning on getting an IPS monitor since i've read its quality is better than the TN ones and it stresses the eyes less. I've read that they are not really advised for gaming but considering it will be something i will not do in an intensive manner i can put up with that.My system is this i5 3570 (non K) 8GB DDR3 Ram Crucial Mx100 Windows 10 HomeI currently have a Sapphire Dual-X Flex Boost HD 7950 and it only has one HDMI port that i'm currently using with a TV, so i would need a monitor with either a DVI or a DisplaPort to avoid using adaptors of any kind. The sound doesn't matter that much to me because i'm already using a speaker set for the PCMy budget is around 160$, i might plan on spending some more if there's any 120hz or 144hz that costs less than 210$. I'm not really interested in 120hz or 144hz play but if i can get a decent monitor with that refresh at around 200/210$ i can think about that, if not a 60hz is ok. I'm not going to consider G-Sync or FreeSync since the latter is not supported by my actual card and i don't know when i will change it and if i will go nVidia or AMD for the next one. The 120 or 144hz is more of a fancy, but if i can get a nice monitor with it within my budget i could appreciate it a bit when gamingI'm going to buy the monitor on Amazon.it (i'm Italian and i rely the most on it) because i have around 100$ gift vouchers on the site and i'll be using them to cover some of the expenseI would also like to know if there is any IPS 60hz monitor under 160$ that can be considered a good buy, i can spend that sum without any problem but if there's any under that i can consider saving any moneyI tried looking for any monitor under 160$ but came up to nothing, the "best" one i found has been thisAOC i2369VmIf it can be considered a good choice i might go for it, if not please suggest me another oneI guess this is all for now, if you need some explanations or other info about something please feel free to ask!! Thanks a lot for the help you'll give me!!
  10. I would love a new SSD so i could put my MX100 (or the new one) in my sister's laptop that is really slow!
  11. My favourite one is the Aria Headset- i love the wooden acoustic chamber and its large drivers and ear cushions, but most of all i like the fact that it has detachable jack cables! I also like the Dimora, it's sober and stylish, but the Aria Headset stole my attention first
  12. Woah, it would be an interesting pc to use for on the run need when away from home
  13. My favourite item in the Bundle is Eleven Hundred V2. It would be a new good looking and efficient case to replace my old TT Armor
  14. What i like about the GTX 900 series is that it caused some turmoil in the market, setting a new path for powerful yet cool and power saving GPUs that have also a great price I saw them only through reviews and videos and i would like to have one to stress with games
  15. Hi everybody!! I'm new here though i now the forum and Linus' work since a while I saw the Graphic Cards GiveAway and that was the spark to create this account, i hope i will be useful in other ways too and not only lurk or enter future GAs!
