  1. Loving the new logo, hating the banner This new logo is instantly recognizable. Has a nice tech feel to it, resembling a cross-hatch of motherboard traces. The skewing, while radical, I think works. It has a bonus of serving its purpose both as an icon, and a readable (well, not necessarily ideally legible like the precious one) logotype. But it's not without flaws. First of all, it's not just a "logo". It's a variation of it created for the purpose of a social media profile pic. The actual logo should have 3 colors at most, a monocromatic version with no colors at all (thinner lines separating the overlaps), and a safe area. The colors as they are now don't work in my opinion. I never liked the combination of orange and purple, makes me think of default gradients in Photoshop. Try with some light blue, maybe blue-greenish. Or follow the previous suggestions in this thread. As for the banner... Yeah, kind of looks like an Adobe illustrator template straight from freepik.com. Or Canva, as someone mentioned. The hexagons are a total mess, and give the impression of an afterthought, as if someone wanted to add an explicit "tech" related element. Not a big fan of the text area with the white background. The design cannot "breathe", feels confined. Just give it white text on the colorful background. And not as bold & big, just big enough for mobile. It's not a roadside billboard. A row of some tasteful icons would make a nice addition instead - maybe borrow the ones from the LTX shirt design? ----------------- Also, please keep two things in mind: 1. The public opinion always hates rebrandings, because they will judge the aesthetics of the design, and they are sentimental towards the previous branding 2. In graphic design aesthetics don't matter as much as you'd think they do. Function is the most important aspect. You may not like the look of things, at least not initially, but you're going to appreciate it subconsciously. Good design will manipulate you, also subconsciously.
  2. Sup man, here's the OP6 referral link if you're still interested:

The phone is amazing, I'm sure you'll love it!

    Cheers :)

      heya!

Thanks for sending it, i'll make sure to use it when i order my phone :D

  3. Thank you so much, man! Sharing is caring. I'm setting a reminder to send you the link as soon as my OP6 arrives. Share it - you're not losing anything, only potentially gaining. Maybe someone will make use of it, and you'll receive points. That's the beauty of it. I'm not against this thread becoming a OP6 referral link sharing thread.
  4. So I'm getting a OnePlus 6 and thought it would be a wasted opportunity not to help someone out and give them points, while collecting 20€ myself for some accessories. So, if you've bought the device and if you're interested, please reply. (points can be spent on accessories, swag, or even a brand new device) I know there are random people spamming their referral links everywhere, but I want to help out someone who's genuine . Thanks!
  5. 99% sure the headphone jack is not happening no matter the number of people with pitchforks in front of Samsung's HQ. DJ Koh and Jong-Kyun Shin will wipe their butts with a petition like that most likely. Why? Because it's a trend AND a necessary business/design decision. It's about maximizing profits. And who is leading the "profit game"? Apple.
  6. We're getting a little off topic now, but you already got R19 I suggest you start another topic, your issue seems very specific. I don't have a Vega card, but I'll try to help. I think this topic should be closed by a mod at this point.
  7. Hello. I'm not sure if the little OLED display readout is correct. Check your temps in either one of those programs: Ryzen Master (Threadripper edition), NZXT CAM or HWINFO64. There IS an offset, but it should be 20 degrees hotter, so it doesn't really matter. If this temperature is correct, then I'm extremely jealous. About the memory tuning thing - go to your UEFI (keep hitting "Delete" repeatedly right after powering on the PC), and then locate the memory configuration page, where you'll be able to load the XMP profile for your RAM sticks. That should do it. As I mentioned in my original post, RAM speed influences CPU temperature, but I still can't believe 20*C for idle / 46*C for stress is correct.
  8. Thank you guys! Your replies were very reassuring. Seems like I had the wrong idea after browsing forums, tomshardware and such, where people's posts gave me the impression that 68 *C was the maximum safe temp if you don't want your chip to degrade quickly. Forgot to mention that I was talking about Tdie temps, but pretty sure it was obvious to you all. So I guess I won't be so stressed about doing any kind of 3D work on my CPU anymore... and hopefully said work will earn me the Enermax TR4 CLC @Legendarypoet and I mentioned, or even a full custom loop ;). Thanks again.
  9. Hello there everyone, it's my first post on the forums, after a few years of lurking. So I have built myself this PC for C4D work, Photoshop, video editing and occasional gaming: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X @ 3.8 GHz, 1.1825v ASRock X399 Taichi Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4, 2x16GB, 3000MHz, CL15, White (CMU32GX4M2C3000C15) NZXT Kraken X62, radiator on top, exhaust fans on the bottom NZXT H440 rev. 1 White Inno3D GTX 1080 iChiLL X3 (open-air style) 1x M.2 NVMe SSD (250GB Samsung 960 Evo), 2x SATA 6G SSDs, 2x SATA 6G HDDs Corsair RM850i PSU I've been having many thermal problems with this build. Is the Kraken X62 really not enough? The CPU idles out at about 42 *C and in load it runs at a staggering 74 *C (C4D rendering and AIDA64 stress test, both for about 1h, it does top out at 74), which I'm not comfortable with, as its 6 degrees over what AMD suggests. My ambient temp is usually 24-25 *C. Liquid temp. reported by the CAM software is 44-45 *C. I'll be glad as long as it meets the 68 *C limit and reaches 3000+ points in Cinebench, but it doesn't look like it'll happen. Onto the clocks. It's currently set at 3.8 GHz with a nice voltage of 1.1825 v on the vcore. Now I understand that the H440 is a bad case for airflow, and that the X62's coldplate is not designed for the size of a TR4 CPU, but should it be this bad? Steve from GN tested the X62 with the 1950X and the temps were surprisingly good, you can see the article here: LINK. The radiator is on the top and its fans are set to exahust. I also have 3 120mm intake fans in the front and 1 140mm on the back. Thermal compound is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. So, about the RAM issue - first of all, my RAM is not on the QVL for my motherboard, but the XMP profile is read and applied correctly, so I thought this shouldn't be an problem. Funny thing is - the faster the memory frequency, the hotter the 1950X gets. But ALSO - the whole system behaves slightly laggy when the RAM is at a lower MHz, especially when memory is being heavily used. A BIOS update largely fixed this issue, but, for example, when a YouTube video starts to play, it seriously stutters and lags for a couple of seconds. Currently, I've found that the ad hoc sweet spot is at 2800 MHz. The RAM runs at 1.35 v, but downvolting it doesn't seem to impact my CPU temps. It runs in dual channel mode. What do you suggest me do? Stick to stock speeds, or even downclock the CPU? Try re-seating the CPU and reapplying the thermal paste? Reposition the radiator, turn it upside down, flip the fans the other way? Or maybe I should sell my current RAM kit, or sell my Kraken X62 in order to get something else, like the Enermax Liqtech TR4 360 (or even a custom loop), if I want decent temps in a H440? Taking off all panels and opening the window definitely helps to bring the temps down by a couple degrees, but what's the point of having an ugly, loud PC and a perpetually runny nose?
