  1. I’m disgusted… LTT needs a competent ethics team. A true HR Relations department. This and the new revelations from GN…
  2. So far almost a week with no crashes yet. Knock on wood! Didn't know software can cause driver problems or freezes like that.
  3. I think I've figured things out, I removed malawarebyte and 0 crashes in the last 16 hours... It appeared the realtek audio was having an issue when shutting down. Faulting application name: ATKEX_cmd.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.15063.0, time stamp: 0xdfee5d09 Exception code: 0x0eedfade Fault offset: 0x000eb782 Faulting process id: 0x37b4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d2f7c1c2e9eb24 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\ATKEX_cmd.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 22a82b5a-8ba2-46b8-a1a7-41185d34467c Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I did go through the whole uninstalling the audio driver and installing the drivers directly from their site and that didn't fix the issue. After uninstalling malawarebyte this error went away and the system no longer freezes when shutting down or restarting. This is very strange. Gonna keep monitoring things for the next few days and hopefully this is the last of it.
  4. Uninstalled malwarebytes and no hang ups, maybe that was causing the problems? Gonna monitor things over the next day and see if any further crashes.
  5. The realtech driver auto installs, anyways, I went ahead and manually uninstalled it and restarted and so far no freeze when rebooting, going to try this few more times and hopefully its fixed, if not then I will go with the AI suite route.
  6. Im a bit reluctant installing any asus AI suite software, last time I tried them it was total garbage ( almost 2 years ago). But I guess I can give that a try. My system use to run just fine pre windows creators update, these problems started after the windows update.
  7. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version before reinstalling windows. That is the first thing I've done.

It freezes on the shut down screen The blue screen with the rolling circles. Anything else I can do?
  9. Update, even after uninstalling Link the issue still persists... I was positive that would have taken care of the issue. Meh. Back to the drawing board.
  10. @xitywampas @bcguru9384 @CaptainMike47 Ding Ding Ding! http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=164167 So it has everything to do with corsair link, I have a Corsair H100iV2. They were having the same issues I was having pretty much. Corsair is a PITA to deal with. Solution A: Run the system without corsair link, which makes ram LED run out of sync and no ability to control the fans except maybe through mobo BIOS. Solution B: Dump corsair and move on the NZXT, more expensive solution but don't have to deal with corsair crappy software anymore.
  11. Update, having the same issues still, I even restored BIOS to an older version. The HDD led light freezes when on the shut down menu and I hear my fans running full speed. Im wondering if corsair link might have anything to do with this problem? I'm running my system at bare minimum stock, didn't even install Nvidia GeForce experience, just the updated video card drivers. someone suggested ram, I ran mem86 test for few hours and no problems, stress tested my system without crash. This is really a bizarre issue that only happens during shut down and restart screen. My other option is unplug the other two SSDs and see if one of them is failing maybe. I ran crystalmark and no problem.
  12. I haven't messed with any cabling in a while other than replacing the sata cable, I had few extra ones that came with the mobo. I can try to replace the other sata cable. Honestly I think the windows latest update just does things too quickly which doesn't give the system enough time to shut down the drives or something.
  13. No, I think you guys mis understood, I downloaded the BIOS to a USB stick and flashed that way in BIOS
  14. ASUS makes things easy and I can download the previous BIOS versions easily from their site directly. I guess I'll try that.
