  1. I've been watching for a couple of years now, and have been given insane amounts of help and guidance from community members, best spot on the interwebs!
  2. Thats what I presumed, but I could not find a single photo of it online! haha better safe than sorry!
  3. This was solved over on Overclock.net if anyone is interested, link below! All credit to jchap1590(http://www.overclock.net/u/227585/jchap1590) from the 760t owners thread over there! Great help, and is gonna let me do the exact mod I wanted without having to "buy and try"! http://www.overclock.net/t/1472083/corsair-760t-owners-club/350#post_22243403
  4. Just had this moved here from another section, would be great if anyone could help me out! Cheers!
  5. Hey guys whats up, Quick question for anyone who owns a 760t! Is it possible to completely remove the front panel on the 760t? and if so, can anyone post a photo of it? I want to pick up a 760t, but only if I can completely remove the front panel, dremel out the solid plastic and drive bays, paint it and then use modders mesh across the entire area! The plan is to put a 360 rad in the front! So guys like I said, pictures would be a massive help! The mods here have been brilliant, and I'll be sure to post when I'm finished mine!
  6. I'm actually hoping to do a mod to the 760t, to add the mesh to the top panel, like the 600t! I may just have to wait till I get my hands on it and see how it all fits together! Thanks for the help
  7. Hey Guys! I want to mod the roof and front panel of the Corsair 760t, so i can fit 2x360 rads and was wondering if I could get some advice! I want to cut out the current roof (Like this http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7140/7038341549_52abf7b30f_c.jpg) , and replace it with black Hex Modder's Mesh, similar to the 600t, but flatter, although a slight upwards curve would be great! The rad can still sit inside the case, I don't need to move it outside. I also want to cut the front panel, to the width of the current mesh, and replace the meshed fan filter the entire way up the from to fit a Alphacool 360 Monsta. Would cutting this plastic make it look messy? Should I cut out the entire flat section of the front panel and make another one with a cutout for the mesh? Basically, how do I shape and fit the mesh, such that it has a solid shape. Should I put in a support bracket similar to the one in the 600t roof? And what should I make it from?! So many questions, so little time!
  8. Alright great guys thanks! That's what I thought, just wanted to check! Haha yeah it is, Love Yo Face, thanks for the help!
  9. Hey guys, I just have a question after watching Linus' un-boxing of the Asus Z87-i Deluxe ( ). He said about halfway through that the Asus Impact doesn't have Wifi on board, but on the Asus website it says the wireless card is included. Could anyone who owns one let me know one way or the other? (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_IMPACT/#specifications) Thanks for the help guys.
  10. Great thanks guys, i thought it might have to be bought separately from EVGA! I'll keep an eye out for the other cards as well! Cheers!
  11. Hey just wondering if anyone knows which 780's come with back plates? Is it the EVGA super-clocked one? Can't find the info online anywhere? Thanks :D
  12. Would you know anything about the fan-less mode? From those TechPower reviews, it looks like the AX860 can stay fan-less at a higher draw?
  13. So i had posted a variation on this build which I can't seem to access on the new servers, so I'm posting this to see what you guys think about it! 1. Budget & Location Budget is somewhere around €1900, or about US$2500. Keep in mind, I'm in Ireland so delivery cost may come into play, I won't be able to order from NewEgg etc, so Amazon.uk may be the best choice for me, because they offer free delivery, which normally covers the difference from shopping all over the web! 2. Aim This is really just my first build, and I basically want to move away from consoles so gaming should be a big point! I do a small amount of video editing, encoding etc but I'm pretty sure any gaming build will be able to handle it, and it just needs to be generally very fast! I need quite a bit of storage for movies and games! It's gonna be in my bedroom, so aesthetics are... VERY important! haha I will eventually water-cool this rig fully, so any advice on things best to avoid would be appreciated, but just a note, the water-cooling is not a priority, its really just for the experience! 3. Monitors Will be running a 1080p Samsung, but may get a couple of 23" 1080p monitors in the long run to either replace or work with the bigger Samsung! Another note, I would like to run everything thought my av receiver and stereo, but if I'm better off, I can run an optical sound from the computer to the av receiver and a hdmi from the video card to the monitor. 4. Peripherals I've got a pretty basic wireless keyboard and mouse, and would like to upgrade to a better mouse, with a priory of being very usable outside of games as well. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm currently just on a laptop and console, and really just want to put together my first build! Better gaming, cooler looking, and its gonna be fun to make! 6. Rough parts list This is what I've put together so far, just wondering if its balanced(bottle necked), any input you guys have etc! Since I've never done this before I'm going get the system up and running, then change little aesthetic things, changing fans, adding custom cables/sleeving etc, but any advice on stuff like that would be appreciated now! Prices are all wrong for me on PCPartPicker, I just used it to make it easier for you guys to have a look! http://www.pcpartpicker.com/user/RichieLynch/saved/1xRd CPU: i5-3570k (I want to overclock, and it just seemed like its worth getting a decent processor!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007RUZKK6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE GPU: HIS 7950 IceQ X2 (Decent card, good overclocking headroom, reference PCB so I can get a water-block for it, and a decent air cooler to do me until then!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A6ASRL8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1IE2T48Y49NKD Motherboard: P8Z77-v Deluxe (This is probably overkill as I don't know if I'll benefit from any of the additional features on the deluxe board, and its pretty expensive for this build! The obvious competitor for it at this price is the Sabertooth, but I don't love the features or look, but I'd be happy if someone could convince me otherwise! I may end up with a raid set up in the long run, although I'm not sure how necessary that is, given that i have a 256gb Samsung 840 Pro SSD and its more than likely all I'll be using HHDs for is storing films and TV shows, and the SSD to speed up all my programs!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007KZQE5I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance 2x4 (not much to say here, cool looking well priced decent RAM ) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004CRSM4I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256gb (already owned so I don't have much interest in replacing it! Its almost new!) HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (I will more than likely add another one of these in the long run, as I've a lot of files!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006H32Q3S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_10?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE CPU COOLER: Corsiar H100i (As i said, in the long run I will probably move to full water cooling, all depends on money over the next couple of years as I'm in college!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009ZN2NH6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE SP120s Quiet Edition (Quiter than stock, plus I can use the white bands to color co ordinate) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007RESFR2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE CASE: Crosair 600t Special Edition White (This part is almost non-debatable, I LOVE this case, seems expandable, and the plan I have for water cooling only takes a tiny amount of modding) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004O0PAKW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE PSU: Corsair AX860 Platinum was my first choice, but the AX860i is currently about £30 cheaper for me... The main reason I want to avoid the AX860i is that the fans come on at a lower power consumption...) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Series-Platinum-CP-9020044-UK-Warranty/dp/B00AO0YRMI/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1367516810&sr=1-1&keywords=ax860 OS: Windows 8 (again this is a pretty fixed option,I'd like to avoid torrenting it illegally! I like support and updates etc... and yano, who would ever download something illegal?! Also, Windows blue? Do I care? ) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009HI2W66/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE Peripherals: Corsair K90 and M95 (Love the look and it goes well with the build.) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CAXDO0I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1RBLI8BU7UB9Y http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CH-9000003-UK-Vengeance-Performance-Mechanical/dp/B00606O9WS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367516763&sr=8-1&keywords=k90+corsair Xbox controller (For the odd game that I prefer to use it with!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004JU0JSA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE So like I said, advice, input, criticism all welcome!
  14. Yeh I was just looking at the reviews, and from what I read, the AX860i's fan turns on at a lower Wattage load, which is kind of a big deal for me as I'm trying to keep this build as silent as possible! (looks like about 180W vs 375W which is pretty substantial) Although presumably the fan curves are adjustable on the 860i... hmmmm
  15. yeh like I said, I'm not too interested in link, but for an extra £10 I may as well unless there's a downside?
