From what I can see in the links sent pfsense can only do round-robin load balancing so both connections have to be of the same speed, which would probably slow down the connection speed rather than speed it up. I will attempt this in about a week's time when hopefully I will have the fibre connection to test this out. Thanks anyway for the help.

Mini-ITX Socket 1155 Motherboard
walrusissi replied to Scottonpc's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
There are very few 1155 motherboards available on Amazon UK, not being from the UK I don't really know what else is available, unfortunately. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-H77N-WIFI-Motherboard-1155-Mini-ITX/dp/B009GB87KO/ It seems this is the only motherboard in stock. -

Hello, Mini ITX motherboards on socket 1155 tend to be much harder to find however the Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI is an example of a good Mini ITX 1155 mobo. As for purchasing it really depends on the retailers in your area. As I am not sure which country you are in, here is an Amazon link for a P8H61-I (non-overclocking H61) motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-P8H61-I-R2-0-Intel-Motherboard/dp/B00906G97I -
Hello, Currently I am running dual 30 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up docsis connections which my 100 Mbps r470t+ can keep up with. However, I am looking to upgrade one of my connections to 100 Mbps down + 10 Mbps up ftth, keeping one of my connections as a fail-over. Since I can't use my current router with bandwidth based routing capability, the lowest cost option for me would be installing pfsense on a computer as I don't have the $200+ to spend on a er5120. Is it possible to aggregate these two connections of different speed efficiently in pfsense? If so, how much overhead is there? Thanks in advance.

It's free. I want one

Your motherboard supports "USB 3.0 Boost". Have you tried disabling this feature?

Can a single hard drive in a storage pool be mirrored?
walrusissi replied to walrusissi's topic in Storage Devices
I've copied all the data over manually, which took about a day, basically copied my pool to an external drive and deleted the storage pool, then copy it back. I've already managed replaced the old 500 gb drive. Thanks for the help anyway -
$12 for unlimited calls/wifi and 2gb 4g.

One alternative to using getting a new modem router is to get only a router and have that connected to your other devices. This way you'll be able to set up QoS to prioritize game traffic over regular streaming. Do you need gigabit for your local network?
-
Are you using an ADSL modem/router combo? Cable/Fiber? A 15/1 connection's bandwidth is sufficient for Netflix and gaming at the same time, provided your connection has a relatively low latency. For video streaming this shouldn't matter too much though.

I would use it in a build which I probably won't be able to afford

Can a single hard drive in a storage pool be mirrored?
walrusissi replied to walrusissi's topic in Storage Devices
A simple pool without redundancy. I only have some files backed up, not the whole drive. 2 1tb WD's and a Seagate 500gb. I've robocopied the entire pool to a 2tb drive I borrowed and 1tb external drive. Should I just delete the entire storage pool and copy the data back on, because I can't seem to remove the 500gb drive without the whole storage pool disappearing. -
I have 3 hard drives combined together in a storage pool, 2 1tb drives and a single 500gb. The old 500gb drive is failing, but I have a 1tb drive to replace it. Is there a way to take the data from only the 500gb drive and transfer it to the blank terabyte drive, from the Manage Storage Spaces in control panel? (using windows 8.1 pro)

Can I use a Bluetooth controller/joystick with an AR.Drone 2.0?
walrusissi replied to walrusissi's topic in Off Topic
will it work with any ps3 compatible controller? or do I have to get an original one? Edit: It works with PS3 almost flawlessly as well as PC games. -
