  1. Cool project, a tight fit there and a fun read. Looking good!
  2. Setup sounds good but think we needz some pics of it to! =) and I do share this weird thing that makes me sick at fps games no matter what pc I'm using haha.
  3. Yeah this is a good looking moddee build, I keep thinking of the Silverstone ft02 and that case was an awsome case =) keep up the god work!
  4. As alot above have said, just plain pron this is! Looks awsome and now we just need some more pictures haha =)
  5. So yeah.... *drools a bit on the keyboard* this paint job is outstanding and I think it's one of the better looking "car themed" builds out there. And much love to the Gentle Typhoons, have 6 of the ap-15 version =D they just rule the static P world haha.
  6. Sweet introduction to the project. And looks like its going to be a interesting build to follow!
  7. Think it's gona be a nice build. And I think you should paint the gpu-shroud white cause then it will stand out much more then a black one =)
  8. Looks like this will be a nice small build when it's finished. And that Xigmatek Aquila is a really fun case to use (built two systems in it to friends) I think it's a breath of fresh air that you are not going with "a black & red themed build in a fractal design something" Looking forward to more of your progress pics cause they do look the part.
  9. As usual a nice scratch build on the way. Love your "chopped prodigy hehe
  10. Awsome build log and the theme as well. Soo are you going to nickel plated the covers of the radiators as well?
  11. Looks good, really like the plastidiped pcb. And damn nice of you to be building a rig for a Bro in needz!
  12. Damn, this be an awsome build and custom case. Really enjoying the read and looking forward for more modz and builds from You! Keep them updates coming!
  13. Really love those plates with the cabling coming up through! Been thinking of doing this for years but haven't gotten the time for it or known where to start haha. Made a "rigged wire cabling harness" for a friend a couple of years ago that actually turned out nicely (was for a cars basic wiring going from 6V to all 12V all over without yanking the old harness out) same concept with the individual holes as a starting point!
  14. damn, looking god. As Batman is one of my two favorite "superheros" (the other one being deadpool) this build in red looks just awsome!
  15. just frakking awsome! one of the best fallout theme builds out there!
  16. Sure I can post something as soon as I get back home. Probably some pics going up on Friday, both benchmarks and damaged board.
  17. So hey there! and Welcome to my Quick Fix build. So my big "beast" is dead! He got knocked over from his throne and landed on his face ripping the CPU socket holes "out" of the board cause the ShadowRock2 is one heavy block of cooling (cpu cooler cracked the PCB around then CPU socket =/ breaking copperpaths). My little dog got scared from a "exhaustgasolineblowout" waking my big dog who was sleeping under my desk. He stood up and the desktop bounced-> my screen hit my shelf where my PC lived snapping two bolts and the PC went face first off the shelf missing the desk & the dog, straight into the oakflooring x-/... Long story short, had to get a new MB & CPU, thought why not do the switch from AMD to Intel now instead of after the christmas holidays. But the local "PC Enthusiast" Shop didn't have any x99 stuff at all (they didn't think someone in this little town (about 50000 ppl) would buy this type and grade off PC hardware) they hadn't even gotten the Skylake stuff sorted or even logged in the system. But they did have some z97 and DC Stuff. I got a really nice deal on the MB and CPU so actually I'm quite satisfied with this Quick fix =D I went from a FX8320, ATX Motherboard, 16GB RAM and sli GTX 670s to a i7 4790K, ITX Motherboard, temporary 8GB RAM and just one GTX 670 and there is still a huge difference in the performance and power of this little Beast build. Still testing this little gem out, might get a new GPU now that I have made the switch. And here we have some Pic's to make this build a little more fun to read and watch haha,... First we have the new Parts, a quick test setup and hopefully it boots! what's in the box? what is it? oooooh! ahhhhh! and we are in! accessories. more packaging. and its out of the box! cosy, really love how Asrock ships their MBs. test RAM, they wont fit with the SR2 =/. The Brain of this little beast, aint she beautiful. Time to buckle up! and we are in! stock cooler doing its job, and now it's a nice coffecoaster. IT BOOTS!!! So got it up and running, installed it in my Bitfenix Prodigy (I won it and some accesories a couple of years ago, it was a concept art/theme contest thing on sweclockers.com and I'm hopefully gona try this year to actually get it done cause now i actually got some parts,...) started with a Cooler Swap to my MB Killer SR2, it's huge! First I needed something from my stash,... Cooler On, the MB looks tiny now. (dont worry about the green fluffy carpet, I'm standing on a ASPWF "AntistaticPortableWorkFloor", made from a piece of mdf and covered in some kitchen tiles) Needed to make 2 cuts in the case cause my old psu is 176mm long without cables attached and the prodigy only has 180mm of space were the PSU would sit, I also flipped the front and made a quick&dirty holder to the fancontroller. Go big or go home. rough. almost straight. And this is how it sits right now, just throw everything in it so that I could start with my work again. Hopefully You haven't fallen asleep. The specs. are in the signature. That's all for now, I'm gona benchmark it tomorrow and ofc post the results here. //enRodjavel And sorry if I'm not the best at writing in english, I'm from Sweden so english ain't my spoken language.
  18. So if I was going to just be Gaming then a z97 build with 1 HE GPU, and for the PSU Q say I'm keeping my SLi setup for now but might upgrade later on at say Christmas times (980/980Ti/FuryX)
  19. haha well Ofc Im not intending to be playing just indie games on the new build, the build is going to be the new home WorkPC as well. I run alot of VMs and workloads for clients @work and want to be able to do the same at home =D
  20. So I need some advice and thoughts about an X99 upgrade from my AMD system. Im thinking of getting a MSI X99S SLI Plus MB with a 5820K and 16GB/32GB of quality DDR4 RAM @2800MHz (only cost about 7£/10€ more per 16GB) and ofc a new PSU (my two other PSUs I had bought for changing out my current one, 1 seasonic and 1 evga has already been put to other use.) My biggest Question is will my 670sli setup need an Upgrade? I'm after something that can help me with work related VMs and Workloads @ home and Gaming =), Im asking cause I personally dont need more *POWA* but have been reading alot about 2GB VRAM aint enough anymore for gaming when playing AAA titles. I'm currently just playing some Indie Games that aint demanding at all but I have quite a nice Steam-library with GTA V and other fun titles (havnt gotten the time to play for a couple of months = newborn and work ). Work alot from Home and need some Fun in between the workloads. Two smaller Q's are: PSU: how many Watts should I atleast get to be able to have a *stable* and *safe* overclocking environment and does a GOLD rated PSU meet the requirements? SSD: I have a couple (4) of v300 120GB drives from Kingston that aint those frakked ones, but when Upgrading I was thinking of also getting 1/2 500GB Samsung EVO 850s as storage/Game Drives and Run my old ones as a RAID 0 or 1 OS drive would this be a valid way to go or should I just Go with the EVOs (I have a 16TB NAS for mass storage & backups) So What ya thoughts and advice for me? Am I just dumb, or is it a vaild and kinda thought-out Upgradeplan? //enRodjavel dont know if here is the right place to put this but feel free to move it to the right place if needed.
  21. sounds interesting,.. gonna be having the EYE open on this one haha
