  1. the bandwith of the last .5 of a gig is like 1/27 times slower if that makes sense. If you were playing at 4k then you would hit that then the game would start to become laggier. Just search for 3.5gb gtx970 on linustechtips youtube channel and they will tell you more. To answer your question Narnash
  2. thank you guys i went into panic mode and didn't think to do the basics.
  3. Yesterday it was running +60fps and hitting a clock of 1300-1400MHz.
  4. So ive been playing ark with a gtx 970 strix edition and only been getting 30 fps. Yesterday i was getting +60 fps. I go into my gpu tweak and see that my graphics card is only running at 620 mhz! I had an over clock setting of 1400 mhz and it didn't even try to get there. Please leave any comments that might be usefull. P.S I'm playing at 1080p and never come near the 3.5 vram of death sorta thing. And the max overclock is 7010MHz. Is it because of Ark's latest update messing things up? Its hard to see but in the top right there is the fps counter.
  5. keep in mind that that could be idle power consumption. I have a gtx 970 with a 4690k running on a 600 watt power supply. i probably will max out at 475 to 500 watts under load.
  6. Yeah you should be fine. if you put your parts in pcpartpicker it can tell you aproximatly how much watts you will need.
  7. Hey i would use it for I computer I am planning for in the future. Love dem cores
  8. Sounds good because personally I think that Intel is better, but I AMD has benefits because of how much cheaper it is. (A LOT) To make it more of a budget pc. Thanks for all the helpful comments.
  9. You could compare a 6 core AMD compared to a 4 core Intel I5 and the AMD is still a hole lot cheaper.
  10. So I have been planning on making my own intel based computer, but then I saw that AMD had pretty much the same processor but a lot cheaper. Is there something I'm not seeing.
  11. Is there any special reason for this? Will it have better performance or will it be the same?
  12. I have 4 1gb Ram chips and was wondering if it's better to have 2 2gb Ram chips.
  13. I know there are lots of difference graphics card retailers out there, and wanted to know which retailer Is the best? All opinions are excepted. For example Evga and MSI.
