  1. I'm currently using a gtx 770 and I want to upgrade to 1440p or uhd pretty soon and my 770 does not have the power to push those resolutions. Why would I want to get amd over nvidia? Well, I prefer their open standards and their better support on linux. Oh, and gibe nao pls!
  2. Damn, that thing is quite portable! I bet it would be awesome for a lan party.
  3. I would like the keyboard. Why? Because I want to give it to a good friend of mine because her ancient logitech membrane keyboard is just shy of being dead. How bad is it? the keyboard still "works" but the membrane is so worn out that the keys don't even get pushed up fully anymore and you have to press really hard for it to register and she simply can't afford a new one (not even a cheap one!). To make matters worse her wrists are really messed up and it causes her a lot of pain and I hope that a nice mechanical keyboard might make things a little more bearable for her.
  4. Small, energy efficient and pretty powerful... This would be an awesome HTPC and steam box combo
  5. Why would I like this mouse? Because I can't seem to find a mouse that works perfectly for me. Either the shape is completely wrong, the build quality is poor, the scrollwheel has no tactile feedback and/or the sensor is meh. I have tried a lot of mice but all of them seem to have something that is a deal breaker... Hell, I have even thought of getting a mouse with good internals and building a custom shell for it.
  6. I only own full size keyboards. I do use the insert-page down cluster a regularly and the numpad cluster as well. What layout do I prefer? Well, full size is too large IMO, I certainly could live with TKL and get a separate numpad for then I need it. 60% is super sexy and takes up little space as well as be nicer in terms of ergonomics. I would really like to try a 60% keyboard and I can probably live with having to use a function layer.

  8. Did you install BOTH the realtek driver and the Creative SB X-Fi driver?
  9. Aaaaand I completely forgot that the realtek driver did that, D'oh! To install the driver you need to run the setup again.
  10. You can get the drivers here LINK (just in case) Generally speaking when it comes to drivers the file you need to run is called "setup" or "setup.exe"
  11. Check that AT LEAST the chipset drivers are up to date. The simplest way would be to install the top and bottom drivers, the middle one is an older version so you can ignore that one.
  12. you are not getting the performance you should (I have a gtx770 and it runs everything fine at 1920x1200). I have a few ideas. Have all drivers been properly installed and are they up to date? motherboard driver page GPU driver page. Is your pc set to "power saving mode" under power options in the configuration panel? If so change it to balanced or high performance. Have you scanned for viruses and malware?
  13. Assuming you are mostly going to play games and browse the web the I5 4690(k) would give you (almost) the same performance in games AND be cheaper! For ram well, both motherboards use DDR3 so it probably works in the new board but if the current ram is less then 8GB you might be better off getting new ram (that you can pay for by what you save on the CPU!). As for the PSU, 750 is WAY overkill! Even 2 gtx560s in sli would not get close to that. Instead you should get the Seasonic M12II Evo 520W as it's not only cheaper but also a little more efficient in power usage, Seasonic is also know as one of the best PSU makers on the market. If you are worried about upgrading you GPU later down the line and the PSU being unable to power everything then you don't have to worry, this thing can power your system properly with a GTX780 or a R9 280X also keep in mind that the GTX 980 and 970 use LESS power then the 700 series cards. Transferring the SSD and HDD might be a pain because of drivers messing things up but that should be a case of uninstalling the amd drivers, rebooting, and installing the intel drivers. Better yet would be reinstalling Windows and start with a clean install but this is mostly a matter of preference as re installing can be a pain to do. EDIT: formatting got messed up. EDIT2: Again assuming you mostly play games you could use the money you save by getting more appropriate parts to have a little money for a savings jar to upgrade your GPU later down the line.
  14. I am in! This would make the perfect server as it's small, powerful, and low power.
  15. Awesome giveaway guys! Hmmm, what would I do if I would win this beast? I would probably build a custom case to house the hardware and use all that power for gaming and perhaps donating some power to a distributed computing project (if I have money left for the power bill )
