  1. Since you only have 1 GB of RAM, try a distro with Openbox or another basic window manager. Most Like Windows: Zorin OS Lightweight Yet Fully Featured: Crunchbang It will be tough/impossible to run Windows on only 1GB of RAM and an atom dual core.
  2. Sorry, shows how much I remember . I think you're right--there is no separate "crouch" button.
  3. If you hold "down" while throwing, it should drop the beam directly beneath you. (If that doesn't work try "crouch" instead). The beam will lift you up and you can move to the right and continue.
  4. I don't really remember. I'll upload a pic soon. EDIT: If I'm correct, you should follow the red path in the picture, going up to the right to get the bomb then going down and left until you hit the green circle. As it stands, you are stuck inside the wall/floor inside the green circle?
  5. I've played it and beat that section just fine. Are you glitched into the floor/wall?

I know, the Bioshock series and XCOM are worth more than $20 by themselves. I forgot all the different games that 2K made.

Yeah. I tend to forget how much the AAA publishers have going on at once. So many games.

And yes, Bioshock 1 & 2 alone are worth $20. I'm working my way through 1 atm and I love it.

YEAH! I passed the AP Comp Sci test from May! s…

I already learned Python (well, there is always more to learn, but I completed the Codecademy track and made a few scripts of my own). The AP test and my class were on Java, which was totally new to me (I only had a tiny amount of C++ experience). The teacher was new and clueless, so my classmates and I talked about tech and played games during class. I was on my own to study for the AP test, which is why I'm really proud of the results.

  14. I know it's not for everyone. I'm just running out of ideas for challenges (after all, this is week 50, and how many different computers can you build?). Thank you for your suggestion in the main thread though--I'll add it for next week.
  15. @ 792.54p, but with "exactly the same settings as the PC." Really! We just hit the "port" button and everything worked perfectly because this console is so powerful! I know it's an exclusive for the XBone.

Yo, when is there gonna be a new status update?

    Makes sense. Thanks :)

Yo, when is there gonna be a new status update?

How do you do a status update targeted at one person like that?
  21. I love the aesthetics of the phone and the multi-window functionality. That being said, LG's EULA is disgustingly terrible and the screen seems like a gimmick to me. A ~5.2 inch 1080p display with good color accuracy is much better than 5.5 inch 1440p display that leaves all the other aspects behind just to push resolution.

  23. Voting is up for Week 49: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/172986-build-off-week-49-black-blue-and-purple/ To all contestants, please do not vote for yourself. This has become a much more widespread problem in recent weeks, and your vote will not be counted if you vote for yourself. Thank you!
