    Lenovo Y50-70 audio separation

    Hello everybody,

     

    I wanted to ask if I can connect mic and headphones separately to my laptop. It has aux input that is somehow either mic or headphones and one more SPDIF input, I have bought a cable that splits aux into two but it did not gave me any results, what should I do? Maybe I could do something soft wise? I am out of ideas honestly :(

    The plan looks generally good and with a few adjustments you can turn this into a great and optimized build. What are you planning on doing with the build? If you are going for gaming what game and settings are you after? 

     

    As the guys suggested, if you are not interested in OCing the CPU you don't really need an unlocked one, though in some cases they still provide better performance at stock speed with higher stock clocks so I'd check some benchmark comparisons and see if the price is worth paying. There's nothing wrong in having an unlocked CPU on a locked motherboard in terms of compatibility or potential issues. 

     

    You could go for a single 8GB memory stick instead of 2x4GB for budget and expand-ability purposes as you shouldn't notice any performance difference in gaming. 

     

    I would consider a SSD for the boot drive as it can dramatically increase the responsiveness and overall performance of the whole system and reduce the loading and boot times of the build, though it's not a must for a gaming build.

    Thank you very much. We might overclock CPU one day, my friend is buying this for gaming, basically he wants 1080p on atleast 60fps on recent titles, we`ll probably buy one 8gb stick too.and I forgot to put in ssd :D

    It sums up to about €1050 could he change something to make the build better for a similar price, or even less?

    RMA it. You'll thank yourself later. 

     

    Rule of thumb: if it's under warranty and making funky noises or not functioning 100%, RMA. 

    I heard the rma is sometimes really pointless, also I`m in a middle of a session (My country version of finals, so the laptop is kinda important to me now, maybe I`ll wait a few weeks)

    Hello everybody! 

     

    So I have bought a Lenovo Y50-70 and as if today I am not really satisfied by it. Don`t get me wrong, the laptop is really good, but I have bought a version of it with crappy screen, other than that it is really nice.

     

    After 5 months of usage it decided to (I think) break down on me. Audio jack is weird, sometimes it does not register headset or earphones, sound in windows sometimes is silent and just blasts full sound after some time, and for some reason it started lagging as hell, and turning it on takes ages.

     

    Despite all these flaws it decided to make some really scary sounds ( I think they come from cooler). I have a video of it, I will try to upload it, but basically it just sounds like it cracks nuts inside of it. It did not have any trash inside or anything that could`ve contact with a fan, but I don`t know what is causing it.

     

    Questions:

     

    • Should I RMA it? (warranty is still there)
    • What could be causing it?
    • Is it possible to get newer version even with extra payment after I give it back and it turns out to be faulty?
    • How can I fix software lags, what could be causing it?
    • Are Windows 10 stable enough for me to already install it? And is it beneficial?(I`m a big fan of W7 and I really love it for it`s simplicity)

    I'm not into streaming so I can't say much about it. I do have the i7 model though.

    The laptop is good, but, damn, that screen it hurts my eyes, one of the biggest tech let downs yet, should`ve added €100 and bought a good screen one :/

    Hello everybody! 

     

    I have a Lenovo Y50-70 (960M, crappy quality 1080p, i5 CPU one) and I want to start streaming CS:GO, will my laptop handle it? I play CS:GO on 1280*960 and I locked 120FPS it handles it really well, not sure how will it be when I would start streaming

    I have the Note 2 which ive used for 2 years, its become a bit sluggish these days (Ill be upgrading soon). Id say that sounds quite expensive for a used Note 3 which is still a slightly older phone.

    What price would you suggest? Maybe I can negotiate a bit with a seller.

    Hello everybody!

     

    I want to buy a newer phone (to replace my s2, because it crashes all the time and does not really charge properly anymore), so I found used (but in perfect condition) Note 3 for €280. Is this appropriate price for it? Maybe there are other phones that could compare to it for that price? I live in Lithuania if that matters. Also is Note 3 good? What can I expect from a slightly used phone?

     

     

    EDIT: Seller gives 3 month warranty.

    There are no "best" ones. They come in ALLLLL different shapes and sizes, and its really just a trial and error game to find out which ones are the most comfortable to you. See if you can pick up multiple different shapes/materials for cheap to see which ones fit you the best.

    there were 3 types that came with the CX200 small, medium, large, medium was perfect for me actually :D

    So I lost one of my eaphone tip, I think it is called like that (the little silicone thingy that goes into your ear :D) I really like my earphones (Sennheiser CX200), so I decided to just buy earphone tips. Any suggestions or tips? What price is reasonable? What are the best ones?

    Hello everybody, so I started to use my laptop (Lenovo y50-70) and I use razewr carcharias with, even though they are kind of bass heavy like all razer products, compared to my pc, when I connect it to the laptop it has close to none bass response, what could it be and how I can fix it? Maybe there are some kind of other audio drivers for this laptop, I don`t know, please halp meh.

    Hello everyone,

     

    I just installed csgo on my new laptop and i want to readjust the config, but as soon as I start to write smth it turns off console. Also I want to note that it writes weird symbols like a with dot on top, altough my language is set to US, maybe it is a problem with language?
