ajhoranny89 got a reaction from Canada EH in 10 seconds video intro
Hello im just getting into recording videos games. I created a 10 seconds intro but youtube only allows 3 seconds intro. My intto is already rendered and everything.
What can i do to have to intro work for me as i really like it?
What are the different ways to do add a video intro?
Thanks

for least impact use nvenc encoder in obs, for 1080p 60fps you'll want to use around 15000 kbps for best local quality, play around with the settings, downscaling basically takes your native resolution and scales it too your recording quality for your purposes set this too 1080p and for best quality use bi cubic filter.
settings are similar in shadowplay aswell use best quality and 15000 kbps for good results
hope this helps.
p.s. hardware encoders are less efficient than cpu encoding via x264 but also affect pc performance less but require higher bitrates to achieve the same quality

Are you just recording or are you going to be streaming as well? Resolution downscaling is pretty much what you described, however it will take your 1080 display and downscale it to, usually 720, for easier streaming. Or say you were gaming at 4K or 1440, you could downscale it to 1080 or 720.
Your ideal bitrate will depend on your storage, need/preference for quality/detail and performance of your CPU/GPU (depends on what is doing the encoding). I would stick around 8-10mbps. You can definitely go higher, but it will be more demanding of your hardware and take up more hard drive space. I find for game recording, a high bitrate doesn't matter too much as there is, generally, enough action in the scenes that it's really hard to notice. I prefer OBS or even Xsplit over shadow play; I'm not sure why, but I just don't really like shadow play.

Use coretemp to monitor temperatures, and if you have an asus mobo Ai suite is pretty good for fan control

There are few.
GPU: MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z
CPU: CPU-Z, CoreTemp, RealTemp
Overall: HWiNFO, HWmonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, Aida64, Speccy
Fans: Mobos software, Speedfan

opt = optional
cha = chassis
Not sure how your motherboard handles those. Maybe only the chassis fans are controlled based on the temperature, maybe all of them respond to the temperature or CPU load, maybe something else.
Currently looking at the user manual for your motherboard Fan setup starts at page112. Will edit this post if I find something useful there.
EDIT : right ...
Chassis fans : Fully customizeable once you turn on their control. Minimum RPM can be set from "ignore" to 600 RPM in 100RPM increments.
You can choose between standard, silent, turbo and manual profile, the latter being one you can modify yourself.
Should you choose the manual profile, you can set up temperature limits (low as well as high) and fan percentages at those.
So if you're struggling with a fan that's connected to a cha_fan header, you can sort it out by increasing the minimum RPM and maybe the fan percentage at the lower temperature limit. Fan speeds can be set from 40 to 100% in 10% increments.
As for the optional fans, the manual isn't exactly clear. If I interpret it right, even if you enable fan control they won't turn on until the CPU reaches the minimum temperature you selected (25, 30, 35 or 40°C). they'll then ramp up until they max out when the CPU reaches the temperature you selected as maximum (60, 70, 80 or 90°C)
Conclusion : check the menus to make sure the fan controls are active and set up properly according to the temperatures that your CPU does with your cooler and usage pattern.

It would probably be easier to use a splitter and put your fans on the same header, So as you can control their speeds in conjunction as well. The pump does not "require" pdm or any specific header, But those that have features which can alter the pump speeds will require a pdm header. You could plug it into a 2pin to molex and it would perform just fine (maxed pump speed but fine)

A good 144Hz 1080p 24" TN panel like the BenQ XL2420Z or XL2430T.

Xl2411Z would be a good option if you are a competitive gamer. With a few simple tweaks colours are good for a TN panel.

depends what type of gaming you plan on doing, also can your rig push more than 60fps?
Generally speaking you want low response time and high refresh rates

You can just look and see what looks thee best, there is no other real factor. You can try overclocking for a slightly higher refresh rate.

You could put them in Raid together but dont. It would be a waste of 250Gb of space on the Evo. They dont have to be the same capacity but they should be

Sell the 250GB one and buy 2 500GB EVOs, then put them in RAID0.
I have 2 Samsung EVOs in RAID0 and can tell the difference between a single SSD and 2 in RAID0. It is such a huge improvement.

PWM fans get 12V all the time. The PWM itself (Pulse Width Modulation) simply turns them on and off several times per second. the length of the "on" and "off" periods determines the RPM.
Maybe this explains it better :
Image stolen from homepower.com
If your fan doesn't want to turn, either the pulses aren't long enough for it to actually start spinning, it doesn't get enough voltage or the fan motor itself is borked.
Seeing as you already verified that they do work when plugged directly to a 12V source, it's safe to assume that it isn't the last of these options. So either the motherboard's fan headers don't supply sufficient voltage or the pulses are too short to overcome the magnetic force inside the fan motor.
The fan headers on a motherboard can power one or two fans, but the circuits are too thin to provide enough power for multiple fans at the same time. I gather from your first post that you only have one fan in each fan header, so that theory can also be dismissed.
I suspect that the fan profile simply needs to be tweaked. The base percentage is set too low, which means that the pulses are too short to keep the fans spinning (or to put it in car terms : the idle is so low that the engine stalls).
Raise the minimum RPM or percentage the fans get by any substantial amount and see if that helps. If it does, lower it again until you find how far down you can safely take it.

Hey ajhoranny89, SSHD is a good concept and provides faster work over regular HDDs especially when it comes to booting, program and game load times and working with larger files. It's basically a regular HDD with a small integrated SSD (usually 8GB or 16GB) and the drive figures out what you use the most and puts some files on that SSD part for them to load faster. I personally am not a big fan of that concept as you don't have the freedom of choosing what to go on the SSD part and what to remain on the HDD. Since you already have two perfectly good SSDs, I believe it's pointless to get a SSHD. You could use one of the SSDs for your OS and programs and the other for your games and large files that you often work with and get a regular HDD for storage. If you plan on putting the two SSDs in RAID 0 mode, have in mind that they will give you a significant boost in performance, load times and transfer speeds, but they will actually increase your system's initial boot time. Regarding the cooler, you could always call the case manufacturer's support and ask them if a certain cooler would fit and if they can offer you some workarounds to avoid any compatibility issues. PCPartPicker says it isn't compatible.
Don't bother getting an SSHD because you already have SSD's.

For the cooler, phanteks makes amazing static pressure fans, nzxt has some that aren't horrible, and noiseblock has a lot, yet those are extremely expensive(about the same as noctua's yet look a lot better). And I am not sure if the cooler will fit in the r4, yet I know it will fit in the h440.
For the storage, ssd's for things that can be easily replaced i.e. games, os, and applications. Get a hdd for mass storage and save game backups(atleast it is what I do). Personally buying an sshd should be an option if you can't afford an ssd, but seeing as that isn't a problem, it would be best to go for pure storage. And the size is up to you, if you need 3tb, then get a 3tb drive, if you don't need that much, then don't get that much.

Not much point getting a sshd if you already have ssd's. Put your programs on your ssd.
Capacity depends on your own storage habits.
The H240x should fit in the H440--not sure about the R4.
