  1. $30bn by 2020 is an effin optimistic prediction. did even the smartphone market grow to $30bn in 3&1/2 years?
  2. that is still weakening security though, cause keys can leak in a security breach
  3. it's not $8000 a month, december is when the advertisement money is at its peak. in january is at it's lowest, according to TB it's down 75% this year, meaning for the same views he'd get $2k instead of $8k. judging by last year's example youtubers are making half as much money per month from january to about june-ish. it would be closer to $65-70k a year, and that's not even salary, but small business earning, different tax rates apply to that, I don't know if in the us it's more or less than personal earning tax so can't estimate on that
  4. I thank good that ISP in my country are not as bad. they provide cable modems for free and the prices are lower than what us ISPs ask, and I don't think I have experienced more than 1 internet outage or even slowdown in the last 6 months, not to mention I have not seen landline internet service offerings with a bandwidth cap since the early 2000's
  5. it's free facebook and other select services like BBC news, accu weather etc.. if it had free internet to every website, india and egypt would not have shut it down, but as it is it violates net neutrality
  6. 10k people out of 64m is was less than the number if people with severe color-blindness. according to http://www.colourblindawareness.org/ 2% of the population has moderate to severe color-blindness, and 10k out of 64m is 0.015%
  7. you can pick upcs go for $5-6, gta v was something like $35 the lowest
  8. I think it more have to do with malware in ads than intrusive ads
  9. I'm not familiar with windows server but is it like IBM, where they charge you more if you want to use more cpu's with z/OS?
  10. me neither. that's why it's off for me and only activate on sites when there's no way around it. it get a lot of broken flash signs as ads on youtube but whatever, if it shows up I think it counts as ad shown, it's the advertiser's fault that he gets a false positive ad-count cause he used flash
  11. in my experience it's best to find a good site, and even then in the central eastern european region it's kinda hard to be honest, not that many people sell and not that many people buy and folk overvalue their stuff as if it was as value keeping as a car or something. most of the stuff I've seen was people from small businesses buying parts, return vat, and than sell them for more than the pre vat price and less than the after post vat price
  12. that also cut my eye, but being a really unknown brand I worry that it might be some low quality screen. my mother once bought a 120 euro samsung phone and the touchscreen on it was barely usable, with lot of the not being able to register touches
  13. I've been looking for a new phone as my current one can barely manage chrome and the batter started failing recently, I've been looking into the 200 euro-ish phones and I have found 2 suitable candidates. the lg g4s (lg beat) and the sony xperia m4 aqua. both have snapdragon 615, which is nice for 200 euros, battery is meh, but I'm a very light user and my galaxy s3 mini with 1500mah lasted me enough before the battery stated to give up. (95% of the time it's just alarm clock + calls + listening to music/podcasts), and I don't really use up much storage. the biggest difference is that the lg has only 1.5gb ram but a 1080p screen while the sony has 2gb ram with a 720p screen. TL:DR do you think a 1080p screen would make a difference on a 5.5 inch device?
  14. they spent some pretty penny on their shield lineup though, porting half life and stuff
  15. a 45m wide asteroid is 91.125 times as big as a 10m wide, meaning if it has the same value per volume it only $2b
  16. well, if you say so, the point is that my buddy with an i7-4790 and gtx970 doesn't have that severe drops in framerate that I have with a i5-4690k and r9 390, drivers could be worse on the amd side but I'm sure it's not that bad that it would cause that he would have twice the fps in the downtown boston area.
  17. oops, I think there's been a misunderstanding "i7 gives you like 20fps *more*" I didn't mean it runs at 20, I meant i7 gives 20fps more over an i5, as in some areas it tanks i5's and not i7's. my 4690k@4.3ghz can get as low as 18fps at ultra preset /godrays off in the urban areas, while it runs 90%+ and my 390 runs at 30%, the only way to fix it is to turn down shadow distance, the cpu can't give out enough draw calls
  18. fallout handles CPUs like shit, it's one of the rare cases where an i7 gives you like 20fps in some areas compared to an i5 even on an gtx970
  19. it's not viable and in the wrong section
  20. it's EU, there's no 15+, it says PEGI 18 on the box in europe that is the M rating/MA 15+ in europe, only ghosts got 16 (t for teen in the us/ m for moderate impact in australia) for some reason
  21. it's much earlier in development than dx12, it's promising but it will take even more time for it to be out
  22. it' because they used to send the design of the chip to the fab on a tab, but here's a video of one of the creators of ARM explaining at 5:20
