I'm looking at it more closely today and I can notice it slowly get struttery overtime when using the PC aswell. It's really weird I drag my mouse across my screen and it's not smooth (hz set correctly) it's choppy and windows feels slightly the same. When I drag a window across the same mouse pattern It's smoother though, so weird.

I'm pretty much forced to reboot, I don't run any hard drives either. Got an M.2 and an SSD for games

I leave my PC on every night and this past week when I wake up in the morning and go to my PC EVERYTHING IS EXTREMELY SLOW. My mouse feels like it's moving in slowmo, and things freeze and take forever to open. For no reason, there's nothing hoggling up cpu usage memory or gpu, the temps are completely good and I'm forced to restart the PC and have everything be fine, its clearly an issue with software or within windows or some kind of software and I have absolutely no clue how to find the problem. I've tried rerolling every driver I had, nothing special shows up in event log, I've tried CMD repair commands, windows updates everything. I'm a complete loss. BTW this only happens with really long idles not short ones, I only notice it over night Has anyone had this problem before? Or do you have any tips to help me pinpoint the issue? Thanks

I got home today to seeing artifacts on my screen when watching video and gaming..(with NO oc) so... now I'm starting to think it's the actual GPU. Also I will try an OC reinstall sometime this week edit = replugging fixed it...

Edit = I'm seeing more errors being caused by NVIDIA. I'm fairly certain the cpu usage is caused BY the system inconsistency, because there's nothing that stands out. I just thought either my system was hard bottlenecking, got a bad card, or its just a normal rtx 3000s problem. If anyone has experiences anything like this please let me know because I'm debating going back to my 1060 and selling my 3060 now.

So you're saying its my OS not the GPU? But when I use DDU and uninstall my 3060 then put in my 1060 and install drivers everything is normal then i redo the same process for the rtx 3060 and problems occur

SuperNOVA 650 G3 added to specs This is one of the things I mean about pc instability.. its all over the place jumping from 20% to 60% hitting 100% for half a second and it's just the brwoser, desktop window manager and system in the top 3 usages. What exactly do you mean by refreshing OS? reinstalling when adding new gpu? And yes I used DDU beforehand, I also retried it a couple times trying older drivers no help.

So I managed to get an RTX 3060 and I was worried for a while before buying that my CPU would bottleneck but after research mostly what I found was "nah it'll be okay its not a big deal" but ever since I got my RTX 3060 ti my system OVERALL feels slower, has DPC latency and seems to be struggling and hanging and crashing a lot. Specs : Mobo : Extreme rampage IV cpu : i7 3930k psu : supernova 650 watts g3 gpu before : gtx 1060 6gb // now rtx 3060 ti evga ftw 16gb ram 1600mhz All temps are fine Did I make a mistake getting a GPU first before I upgraded the rest of my PC or is there something else? My DPC Latency has hit the fan, Latency Mon hits red after about 10 minutes from a fresh reboot the cultrate (according to latency mon) being different every so often. Ive spent a week researching fixes for Latency and nothing seems to fix it. My CPU % Usage has skyrocketed, I'm hitting 60% just by having one chrome tab open typing this. Now when it comes to GAMEPLAY performance everything is top tier and perfectly good. I can play cyberpunk 1440p Max settings at 70fps with dsr quality and stability is good. But my PC for general use seems to be all wonky. I reinstalled windows 10 a week before I got my RTX 3060 so it's pretty recent. I swapped back to my GTX 1060 and everything went perfectly back to normal. So.. wtf should I do? I'm kind of lost. thank you.

Hx1050 an "overkill" psu i got from a friend a while ago Would getting a surge protector help prevent this?

I was just wondering since it seems like the worst has passed, i can go 4-5 hours without it turning off. Also, a few weeks ago Toronto had an ice storm that caused my power to "flicker" (lights would dim but wouldnt turn off etc) Is it possible that the power problems fucked my psu up because it was completely fine before that.

So the past month my PC shut down randomly twice, i thought nothing of it. TODAY my PC shut down like 10 times no error no freezing unexpectedly nothing out of the ordinary. I assume its PSU so I ordered a new one (its about time anyway) my new PSU wont arrive until Wednesday. Can I still use my PC until the new PSU arrives? I notice it shuts down more often when I'm in game. When I have power saver mode on and I'm just browsing or watching videos it only shut down once in 4 hours so far. My buddy told me I should underclock my cpu and gpu if i have to use it or just avoid it entirely because it could damage my system? honestly, going 5 days without PC seems impossible to me.. tldr can I use my dying psu until my new one arrives? will the unexpected shut downs cause harm? can I risk playing games? Thanks.

I have one monitor that's 60hz and one that goes up to 144hz (I set it to 120hz because it makes these problems Im about to say seem less harsh because of how syncing works) When I have any animation that goes off on my 60 hz monitor my 120hz monitor straight up lags (not the monitor it's self but whatever application I have open) For example, If i have discord open and i get new message or post is added or if someone joins channel (literally any animation) i get a stutter on my main monitor. If I'm on a page that doesn't have any animations (like reddit for example) there's no issues. When ever my track changes from spotify or when a new ad appears I hag. Videos on MPC or VLC or any other player STRAIGHT UP LAGS LIKE FUCKING CRAZY on my main monitor if i touch the track bar at all (or if theres any animation on my 60 hz panel) I've been suffering from these problems for years and I'm going to start to try and fix them. Any suggestions or tips? buying an new 120/144 to replace the 60 is not an option. Thank you.

This happened to me today! I had everything off for months now I login to my PC today and it saids I have updates waiting to install? I had to manually re-disable everything from event logs to regedit... fucking pathetic nice going microsoft.

I don't want to turn them off because I have useful things like when someone starts livestreaming on twitch, when malwarebytes picks something up etc.. but when I'm playing overwatch and one of these popup i feel like my game cuts to 30 fps (from 144) for a few seconds. Is there any fix to this without disabling them? Thanks.

I JUST formatted 5 minutes ago and windows can't even get my name right I can't rename the folder... how can i fix this? (The user folder is aryaa which has one too many letters if you didn't notice)

Yes I have the ISO already the problem is last time I tried a format I ended up receiving the newest windows update which is full of bugs (creators) and I don't want that verison. I dont recall having an option in what windows version to end with

I want to do a full reformat of windows because I'm encountering a lot of problems in games but last time I tried this I ended up getting the super buggy Creators Update for windows (seems like it updates automatically), How do i format properly to a build that I want? My only problem with MX master are the side buttons, If it had one or two big buttons (like the g502 or deathadder) I would buy it instantly. But the two small ones are in odd places same with the wheel. I always use a side button for shift modifiers in game
