    I would try bridging the power supply to make sure its the problem. Take a paperclip or something else small and conductive and do this to the ATX plug. 

    After that try and flip the switch to turn it on, if the power supply fan doesn't spin then the power supply is the problem.

    So if i buy another 8GB i should be fine? As long as its the same timing and frequency. Because honestly one of the reasons im upgrading is to have a black and red colour scheme for the ram, and im also pushing my limit with my chrome tabs as well. So from what ive been reading it should be okay?... just not advised.

    They don't have to be binned together but they should or at least make sure they are the same spec because if the spec is the same the chips will be almost identical.

    99% that they will work. 100% if you tune down some latency if necessary.
     
    On Moddiy.com you can bu some nice presleeved cables if you own the right PSU, something like this for a Seasonic
