  1. Congrats homie! That's Hella weird that worked, but we're all glad you're back up and running.
  2. Oof. OP. From looking at their site it looks like better heat pipes, better mounting system, better fan on the V2
  3. If the drive is faulty. That's why I wanted you to try a new drive if you have one.
  4. I was asking the other dude. Alex Atkin UK, homeboy has an appliance listed as his router in his signature.
  5. This is off topic but I have to ask. What "appliance" are you using as a router in your signature? Is your fridge a router?
  6. Good thinking here. Try as many different USB ports as you can, maybe you didn't fry them all.
  7. Total fucking dice roll amigo. If you need to replace things, I'd start with the motherboard. It's the most likely to have been hit by a short.
  8. I wouldn't call it yet. If I were you, which I'm not (I don't think), I'd keep trying to boot into a windows install media to reinstall windows, and just keep trying until the keyboard works spontaneously again and hope that fixes it. If it doesn't, or if it reinstall windows but then you have the same keyboard mouse issue, then I'd call it.
  9. That's a fair point. OP, what is your case fan setup like?
  10. Not if the motherboard claims compatibility with 3rd gen Ryzen.
  11. Banned for unsafe buzz saw use and discrimination.
  12. The motherboard may not come with the correct BIOS installed, as some B450M motherboards require an updated BIOS to recognize 3rd Gen Ryzen. If your motherboard does not come with the correct bios then you can contact AMD for an upgrade kit. They loan you a POS Athlon to boot with and update the bios that you then send back. For clarification whether or not you get a updated board is a total roll of the dice. Maybe you get an updated one, maybe not.
  13. Start at UEFI only. Try turning on any fast boot options you see as well in the BIOS. As for the part you asked me, it could be that the board simply takes a longer time to go through all its checks than your 6600k motherboard. Some motherboards simply take longer to post, but usually that's seen on things like workstation or server motherboards.
  14. That reeks of a improper mounting. The stock cooler isn't amazing but it's not quite that bad.
  15. Banned for driving togs on the sidewalk
  16. If they're the same price, I'd just take the 32gb. The 16gb is technically faster but not noticeably so.
  17. Lul, I'm moving too fast through these posts. If you're just gaming get the 16gb if the 32gb costs an extra 200$. 16gb is the sweet spot for gaming.
  18. Have you tried putting Windows onto a different drive, or have you been installing to the same drive the whole time? It could be that a drive decided to shit the bed.
  19. What homeboy said. Above 3000/3200mhz you don't see a significant improvement in performance. If both kits have the same timings and speed then it's just up to what looks pretty.
  20. Did you update your BIOS to the latest revision?
