Hello, I'm a graphic designer that uses mostly Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign and plan to eventualy get around to learn and make a bit of 3D rendering aswell. I also game a lot, so I need a build that would perform well on BOTH tasks.
I want a budget build, but I'm willing to invest a bit more if the performance increase is nice. Never had a good gaming PC so maybe is the time to go for it.
I'm confused about a lot a things. Namely:
Intel vs AMD for my type of work and gaming (1080p 60FPS at least). Read that Adobe usualy utilizes more single core performance, so that would be Intel?
SSDs. There are diferent read/write speeds and I dont know witch one is best in my case... I'm confused about SATA III, NVMe and all that.
RAM...how much and what frequency is recomended? I have seen some videos comparing low and high frequencies and it looks like it makes a nice diference in gaming.
Motherboard. I know nothing about those and dont even know where to start.
I already have a gtx 970 strix that I think is good enough for now... and a PSU XFX XT600 Bronze (lame, but i guess is enough?)
Another topic would be a monitor. I was trying to get at least a 27 inch 1440p 60Hz with good color accuracy... any recomendations? Also, gaming at 1080p settings on a 1440p or 4k monitor makes the image any worse? (completly noob question, but i guess now is the time to ask)
Here is what I have comeup with so far:
