  1.

At the moment im using the basic telstra modem you get when you connect with them and the modem is actually broken now so im looking for a new modem and im not looking to get one through telstra again.

I dont know much about networking but if you have any recommendations for good modems please let me know, my price range is about $150 - $250 maybe even $300

I want a good modem for gaming, me and my brother usually have both our pc's connected, our xbox's, our phones and my parents computers so needs to be very good

    thanks

usually, you need to buy modems compatible with your isp.something to get you started.

  2. I just want your suggestions... I don't care about anything else

i'm sort of biased. I have an apple extreme gen 5 802.11n and it has been solid. I've chosen not to worry about crappy firmware other companies are using, forcing their users to download open source firmware to make their routers functional. My opinion is that the company I'm buying from should provide a solid experience out of the box...I don't want to tinker with DDWRT to make the product work half decently.

So with that said, get the 802.11ac Apple Extreme router; http://www.apple.com/airport-extreme/

And before you ask, I don't have a single Mac in my house. I have all WIndows laptops/desktops. THey all work great with the router.

  3. Ahh, a member of the CRT master race. They make good space heaters in the winter, and I love the sound it makes when the ray turns on.

A Dell S2240M is a good buy in my opinion, it's an IPS 60Hz 1080p monitor. My younger brother has one and he barely uses it, and it pisses me off to see a good monitor go to waste like that, considering I use an Acer S200HL paired with my laptop (the s200hl has been suspended for the summer since the room where it is has no air conditioning and summer in NY is pretty bad.)

I love CRTs, even the stock Dell ones were somewhat decent. I'll miss them.

nothing like the sound of gamma radiation pumping into your eyes and genitals .
