There are a bunch of different protocols that can be used for a LOS wireless link, so you have to check with your ISP as to what kind they are using on the link to your location. At the very least, whatever you buy has to be compatible with what they are using. If they are using a proprietary protocol, you may have to buy the same brand of hardware they are using, but you should be able to find a better performing option. It may just come down to the antenna/dish that you are using, a larger dish or higher gain rated antenna will improve your signal strength and may improve speed and reliability IF signal strength was your issue.

Yah the antenna i have isn't exactly top of the line. Been thinking about putting some tin foil or something on it to see if it helps but picturing myself with a ladder on my roof wrappin it like a cookie think i would scare off my only neighbor.

Hello i live in a bush in Canada, the only internet i can get is a fixed LOS connection. 

Not surprising it blows.  I want to get a different modem to see if it helps but unsure what to get.

I know it uses some kind of radio. Any advice?

The PC 350SE are very nice i've had mine for awhile and love them. I got them for about $150 not to bad. 

So i figured out its the overclock on my video card that is causing the instability on skype startup for whatever reason.

Even though the overclock is mild and stable. Anyone else had this problem?

I have an odd problem, whenever i open skype it seems as my display just crashes. My screen will flicker and I will just see a bunch of random lines and colours and have to restart my PC. My PC is still running fine in the background but i can't see anything obviously and can't do anything.  

I guess its crashing my display drivers? I really don't know this is wierd. Have only experienced it with skype. Have tried fully uninstalling skype but that never works. Any ideas welcome!

If you aren't on a third party ISP in Canada by now you should be. I'm on Vmedia 25/2 unlimited bandwidth plan for $40 a month and its been steady for about 2 weeks now since i moved. 

But yah Canada's Internet is still an ongoing joke.

Its a great mouse tracking is excellent software is excellent. Would highly recommend unless you have larger sized hands because the mouse is on the small side. 

Yes i know blah blah trading still isn't officially allowed in this forum, but if we can't even trade with trading cards like alot of us did in frikin kindergarten then there is no hope. 

Off the top off my head rules: ONLY trading cards. No games, coupons, or in game items. For now, ONLY 1-1 (as in 1 card for another card) to prevent loan sharking. Please look at you're cards value before trading by checking steam community market. 

Some cards such as foils are worth considerably more. If your card is worth a couple more cents then the one you're trading for, then it is up to you if you deem it fair enough. Only trade through steam. If someone says they will send you the cards later because they don't have them now,

they are trying to rip you off. Exchange the cards at the same time through steam trading. 

So post what cards you have to trade and what cards you wan't in return. You should also post you're steam profile link or in you don't want that public ask for a PM to get the link. 

If the trade goes successfully leave some kind of rep referring to LTT and trading cards on their steam profile since slick is to busy counting linus's youtube dollars to implement some kind of trading rep system.

Been playing since initial release, been waiting a long time for standalone. As a new game dev rocket made a but load of mistakes with standalone and community relations.

What few dev blogs there have been were shit. He talks alot about the current game state yet i have no idea what point there at or what there working on. 

I really just want the standalone to run well, be as hacker free as possible, and to have clean as a whistle zoombies. Died so many pointless times in stupid ways to the zombies it just gets tiresome.

Lol derp I've had this problem for over a week and never thought to right click on that lol thanks. 

So like many of you here i am constantly switching from my headset to my speakers and back. I have the windows 7 sound controls shortcut on my desktop.

Odd thing is for some reason about 70% of the time it's taking 5-10 minutes to pop up. Even if i go through the control panel it will still take awhile to open.

Obviously this is very annoying. Sometimes it will open right away like normal but more often it takes an absurd amount of time.

Iv'e googled around and haven't found anything. Anyone every experience this? Any help appreciated.
