Hello everyone, I have an old computers from my friend with HDD he used for his company and he asked if I can wipe the drives completely without burning them or shredding because he would like to donate the computers to a high school So now I am asking the knowledgeable people here what would be the best way to wipe the data fom the HDD's so it can't be recovered and the HDD can get a new fresh Windows install so they can be used by the school? I did some research and I found some recommendation for DBAN tool to boot and nuke and I am curious is that safe and will the HDD be reusable. Anyway I know the people here know a lot about this and heck Linus is a storage nerd I am sure he has had a video on this and I will try to look for it now but I am sure you people will help aswell that is why I say thank you in advance. FYI: I do watch every of the videos linus makes since NCIX days.

Well I dont know how to check those things you just mentioned. It happens on every browser and not only on this pc I had a friend try to log in from a different town even and he had the same. I guess I will just wait untill tomorrow and have my boss contact the support team for our system they were supposed to fix an error this week that we reported not long ago is it maybe because of that this is happening?

It still stays the same even after changing time and date.

Hello everyone, I am sorry if this is in a wrong section of the forum. I have this following error on Mozilla when trying to log in to the server at my work.(look at the screenshot) when mousing over the lock icon at the address bar it says "connection not secure". This happened today I disconnected from the server while on a quick breakfast break and it kept saying this when trying to log in. Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it or can refer me to a fix? Thanks in advance.

Sincere opinion here, this video i awesome it catches the spirit of DIY PC crowd perfectly, he had a bunch of used parts and made an actual working machine with them using some tinkering and improvising. Honestly great Video Linus videos like these made me a LTT follower and brought me back into tech and made me a follower who watches every video to support creators I like. F*** those that make fun of this and say its dodgy and crap, they are just spoiled.

Ok thank you for the answer sounds good than would it be viable to keep that drive in my pc i know thevspeed wont be as good but it is a 500 gb hdd it would be nice to add that to my storage

Hello LMG community, I have an old netbook here that is dead, can I take its HDD and plug it into my PC and recover the data on it. or use it at all inside the pc I am using? Just asking because I have some old stuff on there that I wouldnt want to lose. Thanks anyway.
