  1. I cant figure it out, Do I need more Watts? I'm also getting this now... My Frames keep dropping, I had set a limit to my frames as 60 since they would keep jumping around 170-50 etc and I was getting a lot of coil whine.
  2. Well I can get small heat sinks from a local electronics store. I just installed gpu-z and I dont get a temp reading for it, I do get VDDC I dont know what that is.
  3. @Rashy So this is not thermal throttling like Linus had with his cabinet pc? @DEcobra11 How would I check for that? Would an aftermarket cooler be a solution?
  4. Hello, I am getting a lot of problems with my set up. When I play games for a long period or sometimes for a short period I get massive artifacts (the sharp, all up in yo face kind)... which then causes the game to quit due to a "graphic error" or "driver error". So no biggie I can just restart the game, but this strange thing happens where sometimes I don't restart the game and instead go on youtube or something and then windows itself starts to show artifacts (the checkered board kind). Also sometimes when watching a youtube vid (after playing a game), I play the video and then my whole screen just jitters and shows nothing but a weird kind of static (so i have to restart the whole computer in order to make it fully stop). I have RMAd my mobo like 3 times, but Gigabytes "testing" showed no errors with the motherboard so i got the same one back. I have RMAd my gpu, XFX found no problem but sent me a replacement anyways. but I still get the same problem. Ive also reinstalled windows, uninstalled/installed the gpu drivers like 10 times. and cant think of anything else. Other than buy a Gigabyte GPU since when they tested the mobo with it, it showed no errors according to them. Or thinking of getting some method to test how my CPU performs on another system (if thats whats causing the problems). So I decided to run Kombustor and see what happens, are my results normal? The flux in core clock seems a bit weird to me. Does my card run too hot? (I have a video of the test after 15min of stressing it or so, which I will post the link after its done uploading so you can see the flux in the test itself and also the FPS variance) I have a Corsair 500r, with the 200mm fan on the side panel as an intake, the two 120mm in the front as an intake as well and two 120mm on the top as exhaust. Edit: heres the vid I get errors like these on BF4 sometimes it just quits itself or I get artifacts and then it does it. CPU: i7 3770k Mobo: GA-Z77X-UD5H GPU: xfx 7970 black edition RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb PSU: OCZ ZT series 650w OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  5. Its a monitor, I have two but only use one. The one I'm using is via DVI and ive tried it with the other monitor (vga only) and the same happens. On my sisters build they have a 5400 series via HDMI to their HDTV and they get the boot menu.
  6. The thing is that I don't even see the Gigabyte Boot image either (the one with the F-key menu) not untill I let the system boot twice and then it shows up. I've already uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them before but I will try that again to see what happens. Thanks!
  7. Ill try recording the debug to see whats going on, since it does go by fast. Thanks! Yes I contacted Gigabyte and they told me to try only one ram stick and boot it up, and it booted up just fine. This problem is tideous and annoying ._. its taking forever to figure it out. even more since I have school finals this week.
  8. I tried the PSU on another computer with my 7970 and it worked fine I also tried it with the 650w spare with the 7970 and it booted up fine.
  9. Forgot to mention that there was this one time I left my pc on, which then went to sleep mode. When I came back I pressed the spacebar to wake it up, you could hear the Hard drives rev up, but nothing displayed. So I shut it down and then boot it back up and the display started to work again.
  10. sakketheengineer, atom608, and ultimatemythbuster. Heres the thing, I don't move anything all I do is boot it up and in the initial boot up nothing shows up, so I power it down, then on the second one its starts to display which is odd. Also sorry for taking awhile, busy with school and stuff. I just tried my 7970 alone on another pc and it worked fine on the first boot up. Then I tried the PSU in that system with the 7970, it also worked fine. Then I put it back to my pc and the same keeps happening. I also restored the BIOS setting to default but it still happens ._. could it be the MoBo or CPU? maybe the RAM? I don't have another system that could use my CPU or RAM though. I'm also thinking if my Boot Drive can have anything to do with this, what do you guys think? Probably not, right? since that boot image doesnt even pop up (the one with the gigabyte branding and f key stuff)
  11. It shows up the normal or what seems to be normal debugs and after the system has completely boot up, it just shows A0
  12. Hello world, I need some help trying to figure out my problem. When my pc has been off over the night, I boot it up, but nothing shows up on screen (no image output coming from the GPU) so I was like damn, my gpu is dead again? So I plug it into the onboard thinking its displaying off of there, but nothing shows up. So I power down the system and then power it back up and now I can see with my gpu. Which made me wonder what the hell is going on. Its been happening for a week or so, my bios settings are set to on board graphics off and pci gpu as the main. So if any of you have had this happen before, could you hand over some advice? Im thinking its like some bad caps on the GPU which makes it not start when its been off for a while... but then again I am worried that it could be my mother board or psu Specs: CPU: i7 3770k Mobo: GA-Z77X-UD5H GPU: xfx 7970 black edition RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb PSU: OCZ ZT series 650w OS: Windows 7 64bit
  13. I currently have my 8 pin power connector running over my motherboard instead of behind due to the short cable. So I need extension cables and I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation of which brand to use? Preferably with Blue sleeving, if there isn't any...Black would be nice too. Please list the pricing if you know it.
  14. Ahhh I see, well thanks for clearing that up and taking some time to respond to my question! @Mattie432, @InfinateX, @MdX MaxX, @DjArtifact
  15. So I'm just browsing, looking through some games for the PC and find the list of capable players. Now my question is, when it says "Multiplayer" does that mean only online with someone with the same game or LAN or what? Also, when it says "Local Co-Op" is that like split screen on the same pc or whats the difference from "Local co-op" with "co-op"?
