Get a good used 775 cooler and overclock the q6600 to 3,2 ghz-ish and the 750ti will be a perfect combination

And aim for a Q6600 SLACR - they overclock easier.

np  well yea OC depends if your mobo will let you, and how many OC setting it will let you adjust, if its a oem HP, IBM mobo then OC is usually not possible.
I meant a tower cooler, no need for water.

just go to a budget AMD or g3258, i3 rig, the q6600 is getting old...

Not to complicate things for gaming, it would go roughly so (i know there are margins +- 5 to 10% depends on game etc.):
 
1. i7 6700K =  i7 4790K = 4770k
2. i5 6600K = i5 4690K = 4670k
3. any other 3xxx , 4xxx and 6xxx i5 , AMD 8370, 8350, 8320,
4. AMD 81xx, i7 2600k, i5 2500k
5. FX 6300
5. i3
6. Pentium G3258

A post I conformed in another thread I think really puts the whole "4GB not being enough" at ease.
 

HBM works a bit different then GDDR5 with a much wider interface, double the command input, single bank refreshing and a much shorter RLC. This is why you see a lot of people are saying "4GB HBM acts like 6GB of GDDR5". We won't know these improvements factor into gaming performance until we get Fury X on a test bench and run some numbers. Personally, I don't foresee 4GB of HBM being of any limitation. AMD went with HBM simply because GDDR5 is becoming too slow to accommodate the GPU. Hawaii was already pushing the limits of GDDR5 on a 512-bit bus. How many more modules of GDDR5 do you want to see on a graphics card in order for it to keep it fed properly? Another thing to keep in mind is GCN 1.2 brought forth delta compression which allows for the frame buffer to be compressed. So there's going to be fewer bytes per frame allowing the GPU to use what it needs to and to then get rid of it much quicker (shorter RLC). Needless to say through all of the jabber I would urge anyone who thinks 4GB is not enough to go look at GTX 980 SLI vs TITAN X 4k benchmarks. Them alone will shut a lot of people up about this whole density situation.
  By the time games get that demanding (outside of the scope of running on current mainstream hardware) Fury X will be irrelevant. We'll have the next best thing in the form of Pascal and Arctic Islands both packing 8GB or more of HBM2. AMD is dropping a 4GB Fiji right now because they know 4GB is not a limitation at this point in time and when it becomes a limitation then it will turn into that you should be running our new model Fury and not the one from last year.

I used CLU on the die of my 4770k and its doing an awsome job. I would recommend it for that purpose (deliding).
 
I would not recommend it to be used as convencional thermal paste between the CPU and the heatsink, because its hard to clean and leaves marks on your cpu and cooler.
 
You want to apply it with the brush that comes with it just a small drop in the middle and work it into a thin layer. Yes it is applied diferently and the dot/rice method is not good for it because metal spreads differently (in other words has more grip) so it wont spred so easily using that method. I'ts like you would paint the surface with a very very thin layer

I own a VTX3D 7950 in my secondary rig, working awesome till now (stock 800mhz) 1100mhz core OC stock voltage, but the memory cant be overclocked what so ever, atleast without voltage boost...

Currently doing some overclocks. Being not so lucky with the board [ dual channel problems], i guess its a little consolation that my CPU seems stable at 4.6 Ghz.
Should i push more?

I dont recommend using software for any CPU overclocking, use the BIOS. U can find many tutorials on youtube, linus has one for haswell also.

You're trolling because you say R9 290X is faster than GTX 780. How do you know? Nobody showed any real benchmarks yet.
 
I'm only responding to your trolling. IT IS EXPECTED to be faster, and it was LEAKED to be faster, but it doesnt mean it is faster for sure, it's not a fact YET. See the difference?

I have a MSI GTX780 reference but i decided straight away to install an ACCELERO HYBRID on it. First i wanted and EVGA ACX 780 but because it was hard to get i decided for an alternative, suprisingly the price altogether was the same so i went for reference msi+accelero hybrid.  Temps lower by 15C and the noise comparison is huge, the stock cooler because the blow design tends to get loud, atleast for my ears.
Im very very Satisfied, idle 28-31 (ambient 25-28(summer here)) load max 61-64 in games like fifa,nba,LoL the load is 35-40C (using MX-4 paste came with the accelero kit) :D
