  1. Okay, so I've been shopping for a new laptop for university next year. Stumbling on this I can only hope its not a scam. Amazon posting the Razer Blade Pro for 49% off. Amazon Pricing $2,971.11 Vs. regular price. Razer Blade Pro Official Site $6399.99 I want to jump on this but it Feels like a scam, does any one have some insight?
  2. I like the look of the Xperia Z2, the font facing speakers are the thing i like the most and my favorite thing about dbrand is that they are a canadian company providing a superior product.
  3. My favorite thing aobut the G550JK is the all aluminum body and easy to clean finish, along with the IPS display.
  4. Here is an idea, put the radiators in the fish tank. As long as you have proper flow over the radiators youll be fine
  5. What about an mSata, would i even get any benefits for keeping an OS on it exclusively ?
  6. HDDs are cheap, think about getting 3 1TB and putting them in raid to boost performance. For SSD i personally like the Samsung stuff, the fact that they produce 100% of it including the controller just appeals to me for speed and data security, if the controller is made specifically for the type of modules, i cant see much in terms of data loss.
  7. not sure why you need one of these, think about the last time you used it, optical storage is dying out.
  8. OK so i have a both a Samsung 840 500g, and a 840 pro 256g, im just wondering if i should put my OS (windows 8) on the 500g drive or the Pro 256g, is there benefits that out weigh the loss of 20g of storage on the pro drive ? Also an idea i have been thinking about is putting the OS on a mSATA drive, any feedback on that would be nice too P.S. money is not the problem here so pleas dont start quoting price/performance of an mSata
  9. you migh not have clean power going to the PSU, sometimes coil wine will be caused by anomalous frequencies in your houses power, its a good idea to get a power bar that will filter some of the "noise" out of the line before you start blaming the PSU, Bad power in the house will cause coil wine in a lot of components
  10. I would First, make sure you still get the manufacturers warranty and 30 day return policy. Other than that if the cost savings are considerable then why not. Tho if your only saving like 10-20$ i don't think its worth it.
  11. Get a dual channal kit if supported on your board. If you just get one stick, you may run into compatibility problems buying a second stick to run dual channel, N.channel kits are rated to run together in the appropriate channel, 2 single channel sticks may not run together later in the future.
  12. Some of the early AMD/Nvidia boards had a switch or a chip you had to physically move on the board, make sure your set to your specific graphics supplier.
  13. I have a new build im working on and i have been wondering a couple things and was hoping the forums here could help 1. dedicated boot drive for OS (hardware side, not partitions) proes and cons. 2. benefits of having the boot drive on a mSATA device also ive been wondering if there is a prefered mSATA for putting a OS' mainly in terms of size/speed (and for all my searching seems that the plextor 256g[/url=http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=79858&vpn=PX-256M5M&manufacture=PLEXTOR&promoid=1495] has the best read/wrights) Thank you in advance.
