  1. by front I was referring to the side of the card that you can see once its in the case
  2. So with the release of the GTX 960 I'm looking at upgrading from my GTX 660. Whilst looking at the different models on my local pc shops website (pccasegear.com) I've noticed that 99% of the cards advertised don't have any images of the only side of the card I'm actually going to be looking at once it's in my system! There are images of the cooler, the I/O (sometimes), even the PCI side of the card but nothing of the front side of the card! It's so frustrating! I've found the card with the right price and specs for me but I've no idea if it will actually look any good as I can't see the front of it! AGH!!! Is this just my pc shop being slack/stupid? or are the actual manufacturers the one that aren't supplying adequate images of their product? Is anyone else out there feeling my frustration?
  3. Thanks for your replies guys. I do already have numerous forms of backup in place but you can never be too safe! I was considering buying a few of the 6TB tapes and doing a complete system dump of everything on my laptop/server/pc/HTPC and the price of doing this was a tiny faction of the cost incurred by doing this with HDD's but after reading your replies I think I might give them a miss. The slow read/write speeds don't really bother me too much but having a form of backup that can be so easily wiped (a fridge magnet?!) doesn't really sound like the greatest idea Thanks for your help guys!
  4. Hey guys, I was just looking at hdd prices and noticed LTO Tape Drives? I did a little looking around but thought I'd be better off turning to you guys for insight Is it do-able/a good idea to use LTO tapes as a backup option? If they're so cheap (6.25TB tape for around $120) how come I've never heard of them before?! Does anyone here have any experience using LTO Tape drives? It's new to me so any insight would be great thanks EDIT: sorry forgot I was in General Disc. How to I move this post to the appropriate section?
  5. Apologies first off as i'm only using my phone camera. As you can see the mod isn't complete yet. I still need to cut in 2 more slots, clean up my existing cuts, mount the mesh properly, and add an illuminated NZXT logo in the center (the same as the illuminated logo on the PSU cover) the mesh is in there at the moment just for a test fit. Still a few more weeks of modding to go but i'm considering just buying a new front panel and putting my time and effort into my new build as i'm not that happy with how its coming along. Also just noticed that my sata cables could use a little rearranging
  6. I'll take some pics and post them, gimmie a few mins Edit: .......Gotta love Australian upload speeds...
  7. again i'm not 100% sure but i can't imagine it being any different Edit: I just read over the details in the link you posted and as far as i can tell its just a normal OEM version....
  8. As far as i'm aware it's just an OEM version of win8 (that being said I'm not 100% sure) Perhaps somethings different with the licencing? a commercial license key or something? i dunno...
  9. Commercial OEM Edit: I actually have 100% no clue what the difference between COEM and OEM is but the C stands for Commercial...
  10. Hey guys, I'm looking to sell my PC but not 100% sure what a realistic price to ask for is. I was hoping I could get some insight from a few of you as i'm in the dark with it. Also I live in Australia so prices in AUD would be more helpful than USD as pc stuff tends to be a little cheaper over there My system specs are as follows: Case: NZXT H440 Blue w/ 6 custom stainless steel mesh slots in the front to allow increased airflow (the front can be replaced if you think the mod will affect the price in a negative manner) PSU: Corsair VS550 Mobo: ASUS P9X79-LE (LGA2011) CPU: Intel Core i7 3820 CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Big Water 3.0 (140mm rad) RAM: 32GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws Z (2x8GB, 2x8GB) Graphics: GeForce GTX 660 Primary SSD: 2x Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD's in RAID 0 Secondary HDD: WD Green 2TB Connectivity: TP-Link Wi-fi AC USB dongle Fans: 3x Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm fans 1x NZXT FN V2 120mm fan Lighting: NZXT Sleeved LED cable 200cm in Blue Wiring: Bitfenix Sleeved cables in Blue Blue Sata data cables Keyboard: ROCCAT IskuFX Mouse: ROCCAT Kova+ Mousepad: ROCCAT Taito Mid-size The Mobo, CPU, & RAM were purchased late 2013 with the rest purchased throughout 2014. Everything is in good condition. I've kept the exterior of the case as clean as I could (a few annoying fingerprints on the side panels but no physical damage or scratches. Everything on the inside is runs great. i'm keeping my monitor and speakers so that should be everything, let me know if you want any more info or even a pic
  11. 4am? its 9pm and its still private! Wait. I get it. I live in Australia  I have an NZXT H440 and a Cubitek Mini Cube and I'm eagerly awaiting this video!
  12. AH! the answer was so simple! why didn't I think of that! Thank you
  13. Hi everybody Here is my situation. I have 2 Samsung 840 EVO 120gb SSD's that I want to setup in RAID 0 but 1 of them has my OS already on it, and the other has all my games/programs. I really don't want to loose everything on them so I thought I'd just image them and then restore the image after setting up the RAID 0, but doing this will leave me without an OS *facepalm* My next thought was to install a fresh copy of windows onto a separate drive (I have 3 2tb Storage drives) then setup the RAID 0 on my SSD's and then re-image on old OS onto the RAID. I started doing this last night but got halfway through the install and second guessed myself and decided i'd check it out here first. I searched the forums and found a few posts regarding SSD RAID 0 but nothing that really helped my current situation. I also searched Google but didn't find anything elsewhere helpful either SO Given that the 2 SSD's I have programs/games I don't want to loose as well as my OS what would be the best method for setting them up in RAID 0? Thanks in advance
