  1. Getting a 2nd GTX 980 is worth it if you have a ROG Swift, it for sure made games like GTA 5 and such never drop below 100 fps maxed out @ 1440p with 4x AA which is quite worth it on a 144hz monitor. I skipped a few generation of SLI due to performance issues and stuttering with my 400 series SLI rig, but it is MUCH better now days. Both my cards run smooth and get utilized to about 99-98% and stay cool and quiet(ish) the entire time.
  2. HD650 or 600 depending on which tonality you prefer, use the savings to get a decent dac/amp to power the things.
  3. THe HD650 are the best "all-rounders" I have heard and I have stuck by them for some time now. They are also some of the most comfortable headphones I've worn as well as some of the best sounding. Just make sure you have a decent amp and source to get the true potential of the headphones.
  4. The Magni and Modi are great! They won't help the 598 though, they really don't need an amp at all. Get one if you want to upgrade to the HD600 or 650 later though.
  5. If I were trying to sell those I would take a picture of them at least outside of the case, and most certainly if my case looked anything like that rat's nest.
  6. Yeah, no OC, just the standard built in boost.
  7. You can find 2 GTX 980's for around a grand; same price as a Titan X but should, but significantly better in games that support SLI.
  8. Run a 3dmark firestrike run, see if its the game being lame or your cards, I get around 18,500 with my SLI GTX 980 set up.
  9. I like schiit. I think the optical input alone is worth it for me if I was trying to decide.
  10. Just picked up a 2nd Evga Gtx980 a little bit ago. Going to do some "testing" all day now.
  11. Look into the HD650, I prefer it to the 800 myself and youll save some money for a quality Dac/Amp
  12. So.... do it? It should be 2x the performance and last be a bit longer past this gm200 perhaps?
  13. Ive been running a single gtx980 and a ROG swift for the past few months. Its been great, but I was planning on upgrading to a second SLI at some point to always hit a constant 144fps in games at 1440p. Well now that the gm200 is near, should I wait for that and stay with the single card solution, or has SLI scaling come a long way and it is worth it now to buy a second card. (I havent used SLI since the 400 series and it was the worst experience ever)
