  1. It might be because the project/sequence is 30fps and your file is 60 fps, not sure if that might be the problem though, i suggest trying to resize the preview screens and check their source's too.

If there is nothing you can find and nobody here is able to throw in a suggestion I recommand re-installing it, If that doesn't fixed then it's probably a driver issue which might be fixed through an update pushed by adobe.

    edit:

    @plutomok follow your threads!

the project sequence settings havent been a problem before,

However i did try again with a 60fps sequence but still the problem exists

ALSO i have a feeling it could be the source file encoding issue, my nvidia driver did just update recently, maybe it might have been a bug in the new release.

I will try re-installing and then rolling back nvidia drivers, and check back

  2. did you select the files in the folder or the actual folder ?

i selected the actual folder initially, which disappears

so then i tried the files instead and pasted them into a new folder under "my pictures" - this worked fine.

but when i went to rename the new folder as "wallpapers" it said the folder already exists and asked to merge it

  3. 1. I just downloaded a folder off my Google Drive "Wallpapers". this folder gets zipped and is placed in my Downloads

    2. I then unzip it into the same Downloads location

    3. I then copy /(and cut does the same thing) the "Wallpapers" folder and place it into my Pictures folder....

    4. .........but the folder never shows up

    5. if i try to re-paste the folder it asks me to merge the folder that already exists...even though its not visible or accessible

only place where i can find the photos from the wallpapers is in the "Photos" App that comes in windows 10

  4. 5 tabs open in Chrome + listening to music in Spotify + GTA 5 = 5.0-5.2 GB of RAM usage for me

Actual game RAM usage hovers around 2045MB. This is after flying from one end of the city to the other low to the ground.

I have 10GB now but before when I had 8GB I still had no problem with multiple programs open while also playing GTA V.

I'm running a 970 as well and I have no problem with my CPU, and OP's is the higher-model version of mine

    wow thanks for this info,

its good to see you dont have this problem then

it might be a memory leak for me?

  5. This game heavily relies on cpu before anything, you need better then even the recomeded cpu...

No, it runs fine on my Phenom X6. It has nothing to do with OP's question about RAM.

Yeah my CPU usage is fine, the game is more taxing on the GPU if anything

reading on other forums, people are reporting a variety of RAM usages in their system

not able to find a concrete answer

  6. I only have 8GB in total, (system specs in sig)

and after running the game for only a few minutes the RAM usage maxes out at 5-6GB

when i tab out of the game i only have a few hundred MB of ram left, so i cant multi-task with even just a browser open in the background

Is this a memory leak or is this normal?

  7. Try your ssd and 2tb hdd into the 1tb sata port and see if it reports it as 3gb/s. Plug your 1tb into the sata port wherevthe ssd or 2tb hdd is and see if it reports it at 1.5gb/s. Change sata cables or use the sata cable from the 1tb. Update the nforce chipset drivers.

already tried using the same ports and new sata cables, no result.

going to try updating drivers http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/30589/en-us

However this pc runs win8, and the last driver release was for win7, hopefully it works

  8. Are they plugged into SATAIII ports?

    No.

This is an older LGA775 motherboard. it only has SATA2 3 gb/s ports

    *UPDATE*

    Samsung EV0 850 (new) running at 1.5 gb/s

WD Green 2TB (new) running at 1.5 gb/s

WD Green 1TB (old) running at 3 gb/s

it seems the two newer-gen drives that are rated for SATA3 6GB/s arent even running at SATA2 speeds...

But the older Sata2 3gb/s drive seems to be working fine

    ????

  9. XFX 750i SLI
    Intel Core2duo e7500
    Generic 320gb boot drive
    Samsung 850 evo

The motherboard support four Sata2 3gb/s drives

Samsung EV0 850 (new) running at 1.5 gb/s (benchmark results 132mb/s read 114mb/s write) [this is not good]

WD Green 2TB (new) running at 1.5 gb/s

WD Green 1TB (old) running at 3 gb/s

  10. This doesn't matter, those are fine idle temps for any CPU

    i disagree, cpu does matter

    I have a AMD Phenom II 1090t @ 3.6ghz (6 cores)

    Scythe Ninja 3 cooler

    at idle its 18c-22c

under heavy rendering load its 40-45c

and this is at 1000rpm idle 1200rpm load

    (kinda proud of these temps)

If OP wants to trouble shoot or get his temps lower it could be other factors like case airflow as well

  11. can you buy a separate filter for the fan?

Yes you can, but you wont need to.

the front of the case already has a filter,

and the bottom fan slot also has a fan filter there as well

  12. 1. flip your power supply, so it intakes from the bottom of the case

    2. route cables more effectively, use the back of the mobo

    3. New cooler master cpu cooler is ~$25
    4. new case fan(s) can be placed at the front, and/or to the left of the harddrive cage, intake cold air from below the case

  13. Read my post. I answered your question. Also my friend used the same Windows 7 key on fresh install to a new hard drive from an old and all he had to do was confirm the cd-key again.

    Yes. that's good to hear.

I'm super paranoid about stuff not working / getting bricked (and NCIX always gives me shit about refunds) so im hoping others will also tell me the same - that it works.
