  1. i have 2 gigabyte g1's and they are quiet and pretty beast. no complaints here
  2. slow internet is not the issue, i have 100Mbs download speed
  3. ok guys, i seem to be plagued by some pretty intense lag when watching youtube or other streaming services and it has just been getting worse and worse. i have no idea why, ive looked it up online and find the regular b.s.( clear browsing data, restart computer to reset ram.. blah blah blah) does anybody have a solution to this bizarreness? system specs: ASUS Maximus hero VII MB Intel 4790K 2 gigabyte G1 gaming gtx 970's 16GB RAM 256 GB SSD
  4. what wattage should i get for the psu? also i plan for expansion some point in time(custom water cooling setup instead of an AIO) and future gadgets and peripherals of that nature..
  5. i don't have a monitor as of late, thats because if what i wanted wasn't feasible for my price range, i wasn't going to bother with 4k
  6. noob question, but I'm familiar with nvidia bridging being called sli and crossfire for amd, since this is a 970 is a gtx I'm assuming it would be an sli???
  7. right now I'm deployed but I'm coming home soon, ( so-cal) and I've saved up enough this past year to want to go not quite all out but close enough lol
  8. why thank you! also, given the incrementally better on board audio, is an additional sound card really necessary these days? will that on board be sufficient for say surround sound gaming?
  9. okay gentlemen, I'm new to this community and have never custom built a pc before, however i am a quick learner and only have a few questions. i am tired of 1080p graphics and seeing that 4k is the new up and comer, id like to build a pc that can handle decent 4k. mind you, it doesn't have to be a phenomenal system that runs everything at 70+ fps. 40-60 fps is fine for me. having said that i am looking looking at a couple components and would like to know if what I'm asking for is feasible: CPU: intel 4790k MOBO: asus maximus hero vii GPU: ROG poseidon 780 x 2 in SLI RAM: corsair vengeance 1600mhz 8GB x2 PSU: corsair hx 850 (enough power?) Cooling: swiftech 220-x SSD: intel 730 240GB HDD: WD black 3tb CASE: corsair graphite 760t i know this will cost a little over 2k with all these components and I'm looking at an asus 4k monitor along with corsair rgb mech keyboard and razer mouse in addition. cost isn't super important but i don't want to pay 5k if i don't have to. what do you guys think? is this reasonable? any revisions i should make? anything not compatible? please let me know!
