  1. So today I will be getting 3 monitors with HDMI, DVI, etc ports and am also getting probably a 280X or 290. What will I need to run 3 monitors on a 280X not EyeFinity just connecting three and what about on the 290 what will i need thanks
  2. Yes! Not yet but no problem hah.
  3. A GTX 760 requires at least 30 AMPS on the 12v Rail and the 500B has 40 so thats fine.
  4. Just as a side note, my brother is running a G7 780W Power some random company he bought it for £40 and it's handling a HD 7950 just fine. And again.. its a random company lol, not even a painted power supply just clear aluminium.. and yellow and red classic style leading..
  5. Any should be fine, unless your running a high-end card such as a GTX 980 or something that requires more amps (The 500B has 40A I think) should be completely fine with any of the both.
  6. You'd have to purchase the Kraken G10 which is around $40 as you said, and also purchase a AIO cooler such as a H55 something of the sort.. that'd be an extra $40+ I guess, wouldn't be worth it unless you were cooling a hot card or using a custom loop.
  7. Cooling only reference cards would be ideal as they run really hot (R9 290 upto 95 degrees) 3 fans is enough for good temperatures.
  8. I guess as the guy above me said you can but re-check by googling it.
  9. Are you building a network station for a school?
  10. So whenever I am playing games and the GPU's hit high on usage or like run a benchmark, my PSU makes like a coil whine noise.. not sure if its because it isn't good enough for Crossfire 280X (which I have) or whats the issue, the PSU is a Corsair CX750, when I am playing a game I can hear like a tiny sound of coil-whine not enough to annoy me but make me wonder.
  11. Save on the fans a little bit as spending over $60 on them is not really ideal for the temperatures you gain (1-2 in most cases <-- that pun though) Get another motherboard preferably Z97 as I've heard Z87 can be a little problematic with the i7 4790k and BIOS etc.
  12. Overclock the shit out of it for bants
  13. So I have the choice to get a Reservoir & Pump in a combo when I get water-cooling or get it seperately. P.S I will only be cooling my CPU for now and maybe get a single GPU down the line and cool that also. Seperate Parts Phobya Balancer 250 Silver Nickel Reservoir (£29) 12V Phobya DC12-400 Pump (EK-DCP 4.0) 2x G1/4 Threads (£35) Total: £64 Reservoir & Pump Combo EK-DCP 4.0 PWM X-RES (incl. 12V pump) Total: £71.40 With the top choice I can get a bigger reservoir as well as its cheaper, the pumps are the same. The only thing is since I am new to water-cooling I wouldn't know what compressions, fittings, etc I would need for seperate parts.. Water Block Ek Water Block Supremacy MX Total: £34.56 The radiator I am going to get a XSPC or AlphaCool, some good brand around the £20-40 range, I just need to know what else I need to make this work besides from choosing between the two choices written above. The fittings, etc help! Thanks. P.S I will only be cooling my CPU for now and maybe get a single GPU down the line and cool that also. Current Rig: i7 4790k @ Stock (Stock Cooler) NZXT H440 White GIGABYTE Z97X SLI UD3H Black Edition 2 x XFX R9 280X's
  14. Oh and also a 240MM Radiator (good branded such as XSPC or AlphaCool) around £30-50
  15. Hi, later down the line i'll be purchasing and building a water-cooling system and was wondering whether you guys can help me choosing parts, I have only found one part so far and I would like you to tell me if thats good or needs changing. Parts (I've chose what is good for my budget, if you recommend another item it'd preferably need to be around that mark) (UK or EU websites or US if delivers fast and not to much costs) Reservoir & Pump: EK-XRES 140 D5 - Acetal - £47 Tubing: Clear Acrylic Tubes 500mm (2 for £11) Tube Size ID 12 mm X OD 16 mm Water/CPU Block: Not Yet Found Fittings: Not Yet Found This is my first time watercooling and not entirely sure on what to get... help!
