Check to see if your system partition (with the boot manager) is installed on your ssd. If it is on a different drive then you might as we'll be running a dual boot system. I was dealing with something similar just last week.
So I am re-purposing my old boot ssd and I think the fact that it still has a system partition is causing me problems in booting and I also just don't want it.
Is there a way for me to remove this Primary Partition on a secondary drive?
I use NZXT's CAM software which does track temps of CPU and GPU (as well as loads, ram usage," etc.) and graphs it by the minute, hour, day, and week. I like it just keep in mind it is rather new.
Coming from a not so glorious set up (720p 60fps) I can't say for certain which would suit me better. But it should be noted that I end up more interested in rpg's, action adventure, and strategy games rather than fast paced fps. I would think that would lead me more towards a higher resolution than a higher refresh rate.
However the thing I'm concerned about is how long would a set up like this be viable for games. Being a college student I don't get to make large upgrades very often so I am trying to get the most out of each one.
I will have about $800-900 to upgrade from a 660 and 720p tv as my main display.
I was thinking a 970 and 1440p monitor (asus or benq). Do y'all think that would be a wise investment? What would y'all suggest on that budget (I have a 4770k and cx750 psu if that matters)?
Thank you very much for your help.
I was grandfathered into the keeping the unlimited plan despite them canceling it and a few months ago I got a text saying "speeds will be decreased after using 3gb in a month. This is your last warning." Or something to that effect.
Thank you, everybody, for your advice and the warm welcome to the forum!
To those folks who have been using a closed wood case, have y'all noticed any differences in noise levels between a wood case and a metal/plastic case? Should I take measures when mounting fans or hard drives for example?
Can you more experienced folks think of a reason I might regret a LARGE (28"X20"X11") all wood case that I am thinking about making? It would like a TJ07 the size of a 900D. It would support two triple rads with plenty of ventilation. Do you foresee any problems with this idea?
