  1. NH D-15 Just got myself the D-15 after using a corsair H100 for about 3 years - to my surprise my temps dropped by almost 8 deg - YEP - you heard right I'm OC my 8700K to 4.9gig and I haven't seen anything above 78 deg even when Im playing heavy cpu intensive games - I,m actually blown away by the fact that an air cooler can perform better than my AIO - also the mere fact that there's no more worry about a pump failing , leaking etc... - Very impressed with the D-15 - it performs beyond all my expectations
  2. I want to start off by saying - I've been using the low profile for about 2 months now - on and off and comparing it to the Blackwidow Elite - with yellow switches and the the Corsair K70 Rapidfire I like everything about the Corsair K70 Low Profile - Except the " feel " of the switches - Compared to a blackwidow Elite with linear yellow switches or to any other Corsair with Normal cherry linear switches - the low profile switches feel like damp newspaper - They are tiring to type on and feel like you're in a constant fight while typing and also - the low profile cherry switches are slow to return after a key press - To sum it up - IMHO - Cherry dropped the ball big time - they tried to do something good and instead took a step backwards - the low profile switches suck - Period - If u want a damp newspaper feel - go buy it - I love K70's and have 2 that I use on and off - The low profile K70 is going to be sold asap - After using my Blackwidow Elite and K70 Rapidfire - there is no room for a damp Newspaper K70 low Profile - Sorry Cherry - but your low profile switches suck - better luck next time Although I like Corsair and the K70 in particular - I strongly suggest to everyone reading this that if you're considering getting into mechanical keyboards to go try out the new Razer Blackwidow Elite - Yellow switches for linear and green switches for clicky - Overall best pre built mechanical keyboard IMHO
  3. actually it's a GREAT board for typing - it just takes a bit of getting used to - The BEST thing about this board is that there is ZERO !!! key wobble - literally - Every switch has it's own stabilizer bar and eliminates key wobble completely. I own 3 Corsair K70 models with red , speed and blue switches and a Razer BW V2 and I can honestly say once you experience the huntsman and feel the zero key wobble switches there's no going back to wobble cherry switches with Rattling space bars The huntsman comes out the box 100% ready - no need to customize - lube the stabilizers etc .. - it's just perfect . as for the comment about the squeaking stabilizers - that has to be an isolated example - I've personally tried 3 different huntsman keyboards and they were all 100% perfect
  4. Romer G Switches are complete SHYTE - they feel like damp newspaper either get a Razer Huntsman Elite - Lightstrike laser switches or get the new Blackwidow Elite - Keep away from corsair - 99% of corsair Keyboards have a rattling space bar that is really irritating - Great board let down by a cheap shitty space bar I bought 3 different K70's and only realized how shit the space bar rattle was when i tried out a Razer Huntsman Elite - Now I've given away all the Corsair stuff to friends and am fully into the Huntsman Elite - best keyboard I've EVER used to date - ZERO Key wobble - i mean that - ZERO !!! and a really awesome space bar and stabilizers all round - Fantastic keyboard - I'm NEVER going back to corsair unless they fix the space bar rattle or change the stabilizers to Co-star - I hate cherry stabs - unless they're lubed and clipped and modified they are total rattling Shyte - Razer uses Co-Star stabilizers and they are way superior IMHO

  6. Razer Huntsman Elite

  7. I know the feeling - but I can honestly say the huntsman elite is " THE BEST " Keyboard I've ever used overall. My only gripe is the Wrist rest is kinda uncomfortable because of the way i lay my hands when playing but most people will be more than happy with the wrist rest. The most standout features of the huntsman elite are - ZERO key wobble - Quiet - non rattling space bar - Excellent Build quality and aluminum top plate
  8. I have to admit - I put a lot of effort into this review because i feel after all the negative stuff in the keyboard community regarding the older Razer QC issues over the past few year s - Razer has gone the extra mile and put a lot of research into creating an exceptional product - I truly am unbiased in what I've said in my review - I own 3 Corsair Boards - with Red's , silver and blues - and I love them - but the space bars on all 3 boards Rattle and feel loose and mushy compared to the huntsman - there is something else that I found on the Corsair K70 Lux RGB with the Cherry MX blues which bothers me - but I only noticed it after using the huntsman - the long keys on the K70 Lux with the blues - the keys with the stabilizer bars are not easy to bottom out - they work just fine and actuate with no problem but it requires a lot of force to bottom them out - This is due to the fact that the Cherry Stabilizers were not installed correctly or there's a QC tolerance problem - The stabilizers on ALL the long keys required a hard forceful hit to get them to bottom out - I myself like feeling the keys hit the bottom lightly when I type - I can honestly say that after a few hours on the Razer huntsman elite - there's no going back to a corsair board anytime soon - Unless corsair fixes the QC issues - Like I said in my review - anyone that enjoys Mechanical Keyboards - Even Razer Haters - you MUST check out the Huntsman Elite - it really is something special
  9. there's a new Razer keyboard on the market that's going to shake things up . I just bought myself the New Razer Huntsman Elite and it's on another level in many respects - I strongly recommend you check this new offering from Razer out before buying anything Else - there's too many thing to go into - but I've done a mini review so anyone interested can check out the kink below
  10. I fully Agree - The huntsman Elite is overall THE BEST mechanical keyboard I've ever used - Bar none - check out my link
  11. I own 3 Corsair K70's RGB - with Red's Blues' and silver switches - the design of the corsair boards is really good but they all have one MASSIVE Flaw - Rattling noisy space bars - I'm sure there are decent corsair boards out there but of the ones I've tried they all had this same problem - The QC on corsair has slipped and I would steer away from the rattling space bars . I'm no Razer Fanboy - but after using the Razer huntsman elite - I'm totally sold on the QC and the new Opto-Mechanical switches - I suggest before getting anything - go into a store and try out the new huntsman elite - it's on another level to anything I've used in the past - Don't take my word for it - go check it out and you'll be convinced -
  12. it's worth EVERY PENNY - I just got one and here's a mini review of my experience - FWIW - the opto-mechanical switches are easily THE BEST mechanical switches on the market for typing and gaming - and the build quality of this board is off the charts - check out the link below
  13. To anyone thinking about getting the new Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard - here's a quick head's up . Just a quick background about keyboards that I own and have used over the past few years as a reference point for comparison. 1. Corsair K70 Vengence - Cherry MX Red 2. Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire - Cherry MX Silver ( Speed ) 3. Corsair K70 LUX RGB - Cherry MX Blue 4. Razer Blackwidow Chroma - Gen 1 - Khail Green switches ( Razer Branded ) 5. Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 - Greetech Green Switches ( Razer Branded ) Razer Huntsman Elite Pros 1.Excellent build quality - Way better than ANY other mechanical keyboard I've ever used 2.Aluminum top ( Metal ) 3.Excellent RGB Lighting 4.Best feeling Mechanical switches I've ever used - Bar None - Goodbye Cherry MX Blues - or any other clicky tactile switch - these opto mechanical switches are off the charts - 5.The switches are light to press - they're advertised as 45g but they feel more like 40g - very satisfying and very even across THE ENTIRE keyboard - wherever u press the keys feel the same 6.ZERO KEY WOBBLE ON EVERY KEY - yes you heard right - Razer has actually managed to eliminate key wobble - Finally - a mechanical switch with ZERO !!! key wobble - EVERY SINGLE SWITCH has it's own dedicated stabilizer bar. 7.Excellent key caps - IMHO - although people swear by PBT Double shot keycaps - I find they make the keys sluggish on the return after the down-stroke - lighter key caps allow the key to return faster - more responsive 8.Excellent RGB implementation - GREAT Brightness to the LED illumination. - all round illumination - multi Zone including the wrist rest. 9. the space bar has ZERO rattle compare to the Corsair space bars I've used - which ALL have some form of rattle and are noisy and irritating and mushy feeling 10. 100 million keystroke lifespan 11. lazer actuation - ZERO key-chatter - and the click coincides perfectly with actuation 12. - very fast key presses are possible with this switch which surpasses all others I've used 13. no finger fatigue after long gaming sessions compared to Cherry MX switches - Cons 1.some of the keys have a very slight pinging sound due to the spring - but this is very minor compared to other boards on the market - 2.Wrist rest is uncomfortable because although it has nice padding - the metal sides cut into my wrist - I like the design and like the fact that it's also metallic - but in practice I find the the edges cut into my wrist and therefore I've made my own wrist rest and am not using the included one - even though it has lighting etc... I cannot get used to it 3.Another issue with the wrist rest is that its slightly too low - but that's something I could learn to live with - 4. Synapse 3.0 is still in beta stage and is kinda buggy - but it works and I'm sure will improve Purple Opto-Mechanical key Switches Razer have included a stabilizer bar on EVERY SINGLE SWITCH which COMPLETELY eliminates key wobble - which plagues 99% of mechanical switches on every keyboard out there that I've tried. the key switch design also incorporates a lazer which means there is NO key chatter or double letter actuation when doing fast double taps in gaming applications - this is another huge plus for this switch the purple switch used in this keyboard is clicky and tactile - kinda like a cherry mx blue but it's silky smooth and less force is necessary to press down- I have a board with Cherry MX blues and I can honestly say that the purple Razer switch is superior in EVERY way - buttery smooth - , 45 g as opposed to 60 g ( cherry blue ) and ZERO KEY WOBBLE - and even actuation across the entire keyboard Space Bar I have to make a special mention regarding the excellent space bar on this keyboard - there is ZERO rattle or wobble associated with this space-bar - On ALL my Corsair keyboards the space bar rattles and is noisy and also has a mushy feeling - this is in part due to the cherry MX Stabilizer design - but it's mainly due to the fact the QC on the Corsair boards has slipped considerably in the last few years - it's sad that success and popularity causes greed and manufacturers let tolerance levels slip just to make sure demand is met - the quality that made a name for Corsair keyboards isn't there anymore in my experience - I have 3 corsair keyboards and after using the huntsman I will NEVER go back to the rattling space bar of the Corsair keyboards - I have to say that I still love the Corsair boards Design but unless they fix the flaws and Rattling components their fan base will go elsewhere where quality is better Overall the Razer huntsman Elite is easily THE BEST Mechanical keyboard I've ever used - Build Quality , Opto-Mechanical switches , key feel when typing or gaming ,LED lighting - metal top - volume control / mute switch / media controls - NON RATTLING space Bar , even feel across the entire keyboard , light feeling actuation , Longevity ( 100 million lifespan ) all this combines into the most professional looking and feeling keyboard and the switches and typing experience puts the huntsman into a class of it's own - Corsair , Ducky, Poker , Wasd.... and any other keyboard Manufacturer that has aspired to " The BEST " title has been dethroned by this keyboard IMHO - this is easily verified - Just go into a Store that has these in stock and try one out and you'll see - these switches are on another level - and the build quality of Razer has gone up 100 % FWIT - I live in South Africa and have NO affiliation to Razer in any form whatsoever - this mini review is my personal opinion Also - the keyboard isn't on sale locally yet - but will be in a few weeks time - I imported it directly from Amazon USA after reading a few reviews from RandomfrankP and Brainbean and a few others Anyone that loves mechanical keyboards - you HAVE to check out this new offering from Razer - which has had many skeptics in the past - they have lifted their game and have produced a winner in every way
  14. This is for anyone thinking about replacing their existing keycaps with a PBT set. Firstly - I own the following keyboards and have tried the keycaps on all of them - but be aware that Corsair and Razer keyboards have certain keys on the bottom row that are not standard so not all the keys will fit- the space bar on both Razer ansd Corsair is non standard - - except of course the Corsair PBT which is specifically made to fit on a Corsair keyboard. Corsair K70 Rapidfire RGB - Cherry MX Speed Corsair K70 Vengence - Cherry MX Red Corsair K70 Lux RGB - Cherry MX blue Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 - Razer Green ( Greetech ) Razer Blackwidow Chroma V1 So firstly - the corsair PBT keycaps have a rough texture to them that takes some getting used to - and I have to say that even after 4 months I still have not quite taken to the rough texture - The vortex PBT's on the other hand have a much more pleasant feel to them. The downside of the Vortex set is that the numbers on the keys are below the characters so the LED illuminates the character and not the number - The corsair set on the other hand has both the number and the character situated in the top of the keycap and therefore the LED light illuminates bot functions clearly . Now - the major drawback of the Corsair PBT keycaps is the fact that the translucent plastic that allows the light of the LED to shine through is made of some kind of material that blocks a lot of the light and doesn't let enough through so expect your keyboard brightness to drop by at least 30% if not more when using the corsair PBT keycaps The vortex PBT's on the other hand allow a lot more of the light to shine through and therefore the LED's are much brighter than the corsair keycaps . Another thing that I dont like about the Corsair PBT keycaps is the fact that the Translucent plastic that lets the light shine through to illuminate the characters has some kind of pinkish hue so that all white light looks a little bit pink - and this has nothing to do with the LED's as I've tried both Vortex And corsair across all my keyboards . Overall - the vortex PBT feel better quality and the texture is much better than the corsair PBT's - the only good thing about the corsair set is the fact that all the keycaps fit - even the bottom row. FWIW - if you plan on getting a PBT keycap set - decide how critical it is to see the numbers on the top row illuminated clearly - if you are a touch typist and know your way around without having to constantly look dow the vortex PBT's are superior in every way - Quality - Feel - and illumination - honestly - I love corsair Keyboards overall but I feel the PBT's - even though it was a good effort - are sub par and were nolt tested properly - The Translucent part of the keycap blocks so much of the light and gives it a pinkish hue that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone - Dissapointed - But i'm hoping a new improved PBT Corsair set will eventually make it's way to consumers - For now - I'm very happy with the vortex Back-lit white PBT keycap set that I bought a few years ago -
  15. K70 Rapidfire with speed switches is absolutely awesome for gaming , typing and anything else you might have in mind - once you get used to the speed switches there's no turning back - game changer K70 Rapidfire - its fully RGB and preforms like a miracle all round - - check it out https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-RAPIDFIRE-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B01D8H09TS https://www.tomsguide.com/us/corsair-k70-rgb-rapidfire,review-3590.html
