CalculuS reacted to Stuff_ in Deadmau5 watches LTT
He's setting up some sweet 5 PC LAN, fitted with cameras in multiple angles, etc.
Anyway, he mentioned the $1,000 HDMI cable, so I asked him if he watches LTT often.
Well, he watches it occasionally. I thought that was cool. I suppose it's expected; Deadmau5 is a pretty tech-savvy guy.

CalculuS got a reaction from stijnweijters in Dutch Talk
Het blijkt wel alsof nederland de meeste technisch bewuste mensen heeft. Guru3D is origineel nederlands, Hardwareinfo.nl, Tweakers...

If only i lived near one.
I hear living near a Microcenter is like living next to a building of Newegg with year-round black friday sales.

CalculuS reacted to Paralectic in Which ssd?
Samsung one, is cheaper.
You won't notice the speed differences anyway.

CalculuS reacted to z0ne in Which ssd?
5% performance increase for 35 dollars, looking at raw specs. I would look at which has the better warranty and which has the longest lifespan and make your choice based on that.

CalculuS got a reaction from The Official Czex in How do you Train a Android smartphone battery?
There's no way to "train it", i'd call it more like "proper way to handle a lithium battery".
Some things that will let it last longer;
-Don't let it keep charging or let it on the charger when its already fully charged
-Let the battery completely run out of juice every now and then and then charge it.
Actually thats about it what you can do yourself to remain your battery stays in the best shape.

CalculuS got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Possible to refund the gold contribution?
Got any people I could message? i'm not sure a volunteer mod can help in this case but heck, whatever.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing but I didn't wanna do it as it just causes a fuckton of issues with both parties.

CalculuS reacted to tomaatvk in Worth to buy an i7-3770?
The upgrade I made from a 3570 (@4.4GHz) to a 3770k (@4.8GHz) already made a difference from me, going from a G2030 to a 3770, I can't imagine the feel.

CalculuS reacted to Kherm in 6700k vs 5820k
5820k. Except in single thread tasks, then the 6700k just edges out.

that 950 could be blessed by holy piss water from jesus itself and it still wouldn't be better than a 960.

CalculuS got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Simple monitor stand?
Does your monitor have support for VESA mounts? If so you can literally google "vesa stands cheap" and literally get any of them.
If not i'd suggest getting some books bruh.

CalculuS got a reaction from iHardware Shelden in Fx 9370 bottleneck?
Multi-GPU setups are weak on AMD's side simply because the PCIE lanes are handled by the chipset and not by the CPU itself.
While you do have a decent chipset that can sustain both cards I would not personally do it.
If your current performance feels adequate enough for you then i'd say go for it.

CalculuS got a reaction from MJSBLUES in GPU Upgrade
Most likely yes. I'd still go through with it and then eventually down the road go for something beefier as soon as Intel gets cheaper.

CalculuS got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in FX Series CPUs Clarification
There is literally no difference between a black edition or not. I believe the only difference was the package it gets shipped in.
