Took me nearly 12 hours to get my key

This is my first time doing FAH. Definitely for a good cause and happy to help! Got my first assignment working right now

Just signed up for the forums and folding @ home today.  It took maybe 30 minutes after getting everything configured according to the guides presented for anything to start happening.  It took maybe that long for my key to arrive as well, so have some patience.  

Signed up for the forum just to help fold.  I am looking forward to being a member of the community! 
 

The servers are flooded, leave it running. You will get work units eventually.

Any bit of computing power will help! Don't worry about the WU assignment issue. It will hopefully be solved in the near future.

First time folding as well, but I love that I can do this on my computer and server at home!  This is such an amazing project to be a part of

That error message appears if you open, then close the protein viewer. I've also been having issues getting WUs, the FAH servers can't keep up with all the folding, they're folding under all the pressure.

That is normal.  It will have some down time.  Don't worry about it.
 
It is probably waiting for a WU.

same reason as my CPU isn't doing anything. just there is more donors than they can keep with WU

Sure hope I'm not too late to the party. Let's take the fight to Covid-19 and crash the FAH servers again!

I read enough to register for whatever the google doc was, and to switch to this team.  Hope I didn't need permission to contribute.  Rummaged around and put together as many cores as I could find.  Might be a ratty bundle of parts, but its kicking out ~800k as long as I can keep it in WU's

I made a simple powershell script that has been very handy to kick my clients over with minimal effort. Shove your username where it belongs. Paste it into POWERSHELL ISE, save as...,  then right click it and run with powershell, or make a scheduled task to run about every 8-12 hours.  I'm not doing it more often to keep from hitting the servers more than necessary.  This is about achieving a common goal, not getting the highest numbers, give the servers some slack.
