I wouldn't say useless, I would say having 3 SSDs, 4 HDDs, 2 Blu-ray burner, a H105 rad in the upper part to get my 4790K temp at 45C full LOAD and having no obstruction at all in front of my two graphics cards in SLI is really nice while having a so small footprint.

Ok thanks for the reassurance I know my way around building but I lack the knowledge in the nitty gritty bit!

Buying an AIO water cooling loop for just your CPU will only cost you about $100 and will give you pretty great performance and looks pretty cool. You can also go for a full custom loop but it's not really worth it to put together a custom loop for just your CPU, this method will probably cost atleast $200 and will require maintenence every once in a while.

Nice color scheme, I would go for a second GTX 670. If you want to change your setup later for a single card you can do it whenever you want but getting a second GTX 670 it's a chance you won't have soon.

Yeah I can definitely check sites like displaylag.com, but I'm also trying to take visuals into account, readable text, etc. 

120hz is not something you will ever find in a tv. It's just marketing, 120hz tv's actually only take 60hz input but can produce smoother images by guessing what frames would look like in between frame and producing their own frames if that makes sense. Awful for gaming though because it introduces more lag. 

Sony are well-known in the industry for low input lag. (I bought one this year)

I'd go with a gtx 970 or even gtx 980 if you have the money. The 970 is amazing for its price/performance. 

The best upgrade you could do is switch to Intel if the main purpose of your rig is gaming.
 
Otherwise, maybe looking into an XSPC, Swiftech, or Alphacool kit would be your best option, but don't expect tremendous gains, and it will cost around $400, which is enough to upgrade to an i7 + Z97 motherboard which would truly give you much better all-around performance.

I'd recommend 16GB of RAM for high resolution photo editing and graphic design, CPU would depend on budget, graphic design and Photoshop can use as many cores available so on a tighter budget an AMD 8-core FX or if you can afford it then an i7. SSD boot drive and HDD storage drive would be recommended, and a good graphics card isn't really needed if you're not gaming.
