  1. Found a fix! Just doing a factory reset will fix it. (See my PM, Hobosox)
  2. I am in the early planning stages of a new build. My first case was steel with the usual plastic window, But for my next one, I'm interested in taking on a tempered glass case. The two I've been looking at are the NZXT S340 Elite and the Corsair 460X. They both seem to be nice TG cases that are both within my price point for a case (<$140). I was wondering if anyone can help push me in a certain direction towards either one. While I like the S340 for the HDMI pass-through and cable management, I think it lacks the airflow that the 460X might have an advantage in. Thanks!
  3. I bought the 3440x1440 Microboard monitor that was showcased in the LTT channel a few months ago. I've used it since and it's a great monitor. However, a week or two ago, there has been an issue where the screen switches colors every second and a message with a "Blight time" timer. This happens when the computer is either shut off, or in sleep mode. Where, I would expect the monitor to just stay a black screen, I get this picture instead (See attached). I detached the DP cable, and it is still like this. Has anyone with this monitor, or perhaps with any Samsung panel, had this problem? I'm not sure how to fix it.
  4. Thanks Werecat! DDU worked perfectly in Safe Mode and I was able to get the driver downloaded at last.
  5. It says my windows version is 1511, and yes that is typed correctly.
  6. Hello, I'm trying to install a GTX 1070 driver and it says it succeeds and that I must restart the computer, but when I restart, it's like the driver doesn't stick. GeForce experience says I need to install the driver AGAIN, like I never installed it in the first place. Again, I get no error. I replaced it from an R9 290, and I may have made a possible error of installing the GTX 1070 driver, THEN uninstalling the AMD driver. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks
  7. I'm planning on building a gaming rig with two GTX 1070's. My plan is to continue using my 2560x1440 monitor and upgrade to a 60Hz 3440x1440 widescreen down the road. So far on my pcpartpicker list, I'm planning on putting in an i5-6600K into the build. With two 1070's should I opt for something like the i7-6700K instead? I'm trying not to spend more than $2000 on hardware and I'm reaching my limit. Here is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/QnmJf8
  8. Looking at the Cryorig R1. Seems like a really good deal to order it from a site like Amazon with the stock black cover for it and order the orange cover separate. Makes it easy so that if I happen to not like the extra orange cover, I can always go back to the black cover. Good deal. Thanks DrM!
  9. I'm looking for a black heatsink/CPU cooler that I might be able to use some non-stock fans with. The build I'm planning is going to have an orange and black color scheme to it. I was thinking about the black version of the Phanteks PH-TC14PE, but after some research, I'm not sure if I can mount some 140mm Cougar Vortex fans onto it due to the clip design fastening the fans to the heatsink. I would've gone the Be Quiet! route, but a lot of the Dark Rock fans seem to be losing availability in the US. As far as the cpu, I'm planning on getting an i5-6600K for gaming use and If I do at all, I might apply a light overclock to it. Thanks! Edit: If anyone would like to look and add input, I'll add the link to my planned build on pcpartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/CtjLPs
  10. Awesome. I generally don't go on Ebay, I almost missed this! Thank you!
  11. A laptop I am currently working on needs a new DVD writer. I managed to pull the writer out of the side of the laptop, and now I'm in the phase of finding a replacement to buy. The old model DVD writer is the LG GTA0N (zero) model. According to multiple websites, including LG's website, that particular model is discontinued. I'm trying to find a replacement quickly as the person I'm fixing it for is in school and needs it asap. Do I need to find this same exact model or would a similar writer with the same form factor still be an acceptable replacement?
  12. Update: If I can find the 3200 x 1800 display version of the Asus Zenbook UX305, I'm sold on that.
  13. Thanks everyone! I've been looking at the Yoga 3 Pro for a little while now, and was wondering what the main difference was between the normal Yoga 3 and the Yoga 3 Pro? Is it the screen? And I won't really need the dedicated graphics. Good integrated graphics is fine at this point, I'm not exactly looking for a gaming laptop.
  14. Well, I suppose the title says it all. I suppose I do need something quite portable, but I'm not sure about how much battery life I'll need. I will be taking trains often to get from place-to-place and will obviously have to have the 6+ hour flight from the US to Europe. It would be nice to be able to stop in a nice park and maybe work on some homework. For this situation, would an ultrabook or a 2-in-1 be best? Or maybe a tablet? At this point, my budget is about $1000 If you guys have any specific suggestions, that'd be great too. Thank you
