  1. I'm in the market for a laser cutter/engraver, and I could use some help. I'm after something that can cut wood etc but strong enough to engrave metal, just aluminium would be fine but being able to work with steel would be a benefit. Bed size of about 200mm x 200mm would be plenty. As for software something that can take files from the personal use version of fusion 360 and jpeg images would be great. Safe for home use in a garage workshop I can hook it up to vent outside if needs be Max budget would be 2k GBP before shipping. Thanks for any help
  2. I'd like to get into 3D printing, I haven't done any from I was last in school when it first became commercially available. So I've basically forgotten everything I used to know about it. From the title my max budget is about £800 GBP. My use case will mostly be printing miniatures and the like. So high quality on fine detail will be important to me. The features I know I'd like would be fully enclosed case as my understanding that helps with controlling temps, duel extrusion, heatable platform, Filament detection & resumable printing would be nice but not required. This was one I was looking at: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00YDSK0EG/ref=psdc_6283030031_t1_B00LC6NVXO Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

    RCA splitter?

It's a standardised company wide set up, No idea why they thought it was necessary (could have something to do with it not being a normal radio, it looks like something that goes into a rack) nor am I allowed to remove anything from the current setup.

    RCA splitter?

My problem is that I can't find a cable that will let me add two input devices to the amp in work. Basically I want to use this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015PZ7QO2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=6SFHTCCWVAMK&coliid=I3V5FGUQN2K8B6&psc=1 I want to plug both the radio and this into the same input in the AMP so that I don't have to flip the switch on the back of the AMP which is on the top shelf about 12' in the air so requires a stool and is a hassle, I can just have the radio turned off and something plugged into the jack or nothing plugged into the jack and the radio on. Is what I want a thing or is there another solution?
  5. Thanks for all the pointers guys, I'll have a good look over these and see what fits me best. Also thanks for clearing up my obvious lack of knowledge when it comes to panel tech and what actually matters to a human.
  6. I'm looking to find a display to pair with a 1070. I'd rather not pay more than 400GBP. 24'' or more 27-28 would be ideal. I'm looking at either a 1440p with greater than 60Hz refresh with less than 2-3ms response time, or 4k with less than 5ms response. I play mostly RPG's but I do play some competitive games like Overwatch, I'm not that high ranked so a 1ms display is that important just not silly bad, I use a 4ms at the moment and don't notice it that often. Thanks
  7. I've been having problems with Steam where only my library shows up, everything else like the store and achievements gets stuck infinitely loading. Are you getting this too?
  8. Problem solved, it was my keyboard, which is a Razer blackwidow chroma. Swapped it for super basic dell one and it worked first time.
  9. So far I have tried unplugging everything, i've tried using a HDD, a brand new SSD, tried installing it on a laptop i've tried different memory pens. Different downloads for the usb pens. Nothing has worked yet. Edit: have also tried reseating ram and having WiFi turned off.
  10. the loading defaults doesn't appear to be taking. It reboots again before getting to the splash screen after i save and exit with non default options. Edit: it's now blue screening with "'machine check exception" at the getting devices ready before gettinging any %
  11. Bought a new bios chip and that seemed to fix it.
  12. I'm doing a clean install of windows nothing has changed from before spec wise bar the replacement bios chip I had to get but it was working before I started the clean install. Basically as the title says it's blue screening when it gets to the "getting devices ready" with the error message "machine check exception" it gets to either 20% or 70% before crashing. Everything bar one screen, and one gpu, my mouse and keyboard (which I have tried unplugging) are plugged in. No overclocks are on. That's all the relevant information I can think of, full pc specs are in my bio. Anyone else had a problem like this and know how to fix it? Thanks. Edit: also getting error code "clock watchdog timeout" researching it now Edit: ''clock watchdog timeout" hasn't appeared again so i think it was random.
  13. Narrowed it down further, so unless both my sticks of ram are bad it's not them as I tried them individually in each slot with the same result. Would a clean install of my OS likely help at all do you think? edit: Or should I try flashing the BIOS first
  14. Sorry I'm just reading this now, so my computer needed cleaned anyway so I pulled the battery while I cleaned it so it was out for about 20 minutes and it hasn't made a difference. So it must be something else. Have you any other ideas?
  15. Do you have to pull the battery for that or can you just unplug the PSU?
