romellobethebest got a reaction from ElTigre in Half LIfe 3 Not Likey
IGN:
BY ALEX OSBORNValve boss Gabe Newell recently shared his thoughts on the future of the Half-Life franchise, and how the company he co-founded many years ago has evolved into a service platform as it shifts away from game development.
During an interview with Geoff Keighley in a one-off podcast called GameSlice (viaPolygon), Newell was asked whether or not fans will ever see a proper Half-Life 3. Newell replied: "The only reason we'd go back and do like a super classic kind of product is if a whole bunch of people just internally at Valve said they wanted to do it and had a reasonable explanation for why [they did]."
Valve Announces Source 2 Engine - IGN News01:24 "But you know if you want to do another Half-Life game and you want to ignore everything we've learned in shipping Portal 2 and in shipping all the updates on the multiplayer side, that seems like a bad choice," Newell continued. "So we'll keep moving forward. But that doesn't necessarily always mean what people are worried that it might mean."

Microsoft spokesperson clarifies the previous statement that Windows 10 can be freely installed on pirated copies of Windows 7 and 8.
It is stating that while the upgrade process will work, it won't change the state of the license of the user.
Their full statement is:

So there you go guys. This should be good news for the majority of people who bought Windows.

The company even decided to remove support of the “Bulldozer”-specific instructions to save transistors and die space for something more useful.
Elimination of such instructions clearly points to the fact that AMD’s new micro-architecture will be complete different from “Bulldozer”

So I started following NCIX until you made your own channel which is I really dont know how did I exacly find. So my favorite video currently is the RC firetruck Just kidding, its the wan show even I cant watch it live I always watch the archive. Just want you to review Macs to know how you see it. When I first started working at a local computer shop I didn't really know much. They were actually a pretty ghetto store with terrible prices and choices. But I needed a way to familiarize myself with everything. Linus was my guide into the wonderful world of computers and I thank him dearly for it. Supported him on the Ncix channel and I'll continue supporting him now. Keep it real man, love the videos and content.

Found him back in 2010 on NCIX, the first video I saw of him was his MSI 6870 review with three TVs.

romellobethebest reacted to imatt in AMD R9-290 (non-x) Waterblock with pics
For those that are shopping or are looking for information on waterblocks for a R9-290 non-x graphics card, I hope this info can be of some use.
So in North America I have only seen waterblocks available from EK. (I'm sure every other brand will soon be on the market) Also these blocks say they are for the r9-290x, the make no claim or mention of compatibility for a 290 non-x card.
After the reviews when live late Monday night for the 290 non-x, I was getting the feeling that this card shared the same design as its big brother, the 290x. In hearing the outstanding news of the price and performance of the 290 non-x, I made up my mind that a pair of 290 non-x's were about to become the successor of my 7970's. (Was also quite annoyed with inability to purchase 290x's, watched Newegg all week and always "out-of-stock")
Tuesday morning I made my purchase of non-x 290's and decided to take a risk and gamble on a set of EK-FC R9-290X Clean CSQ Nickel Plexi blocks. My thinking is that 290x blocks are going to work on a reference 290 non-x card.
Here is the outcome:
In closing these blocks although not specified to work with a non-x 290, fit and work perfectly!!! They literally just drop on and then screw securely with no problems.
Also for anyone interested in knowing, I bought the sapphire card due to claims that the Asus and Sapphire 290x's came with the better overclocking Hynix RAM modules. Well either that was a lie or the non-x cards don't get the same treatment. Mine have the claimed to be dumpy Elpida modules. I guess I'll know soon enough now that their under water and can really be pushed.

Linus I love your unboxings, Also I might be the only person, but I love the unprofessional approach at things. I like the laid back stuff and things like that. You could just not do them as often, but daily news show sounds awesome and I can't wait for next year!
I love you linus...Just thought I would let you know (No homo, Wait, maybe a little bit)

romellobethebest reacted to AidanJMessenger in No more unboxings in Linus Tech Tips in 2014?
I think it's great. Unboxings are often boring, you end up spending a lot of time trying to figure out ways to make it more exciting. Integrating them into the reviews or not doing them at all is completely fine. I'd certainly rather have more quality videos than spend my days watching 3 minute unboxing videos of random stuff. LTT has evolved a lot since the days it was basically JUST unboxings, and should now evolve further and be JUST about great content.

romellobethebest reacted to miyabwah in No more unboxings in Linus Tech Tips in 2014?
At first, I was like NOOO, but then I read about how there's more quality over quantity, so I think I'd be fine with more reviews since I love your reviewing. I guess I'll just spend more time here often without the unboxing videos.

romellobethebest reacted to Ashley in No more unboxings in Linus Tech Tips in 2014?
I think you could do fewer unboxings but focus on making good reviews and guides, but not abandon unboxings all together.

Oh no no, you gotta keep those unboxing coming. I appreciate that you'd like to branch out, but you can't forget where you started from.
That being said, it's not like I'd unsub if you decide to do that. We all <3 you.
EDIT: Now that I read your post in-depth, if you keep more content coming about actual products then I think I'd be fine.

romellobethebest reacted to Lavin in [Build Log] Phanteks Enthoo Primo: Ice Water
Hello everyone!
I'm a huge fan of Linus and watch a lot of his videos. I wanted to post my recent build in here to showcase the new Phanteks Enthoo Primo. I've been looking for a case that suited my needs and while I thought the 900D was gorgeous, it was simply too large for my tastes. Given that, the Enthoo is slightly smaller, it has so many features that cater to water cooling enthusiasts and it shows. I absolutely love this case and I see myself using it exclusively for years to come.
I am also a custom sleever and I've been selling custom sleeve jobs on reddit. You can view my work here. Now that I've said this, I was not happy with the way the 24-pin turned out on this current build. I sleeved the stock cable and it was an absolute nightmare. I will most likely never sleeve another stock PSU. It's significantly faster for me to cut and crimp my own wires, than to de-pin a stock cable. I will do another 24-Pin custom cable on the next iteration of this build.

THE IMPACTER
So first of hello everyone my name is Martin and im from Denmark.
i would like to appologize for my english since its not my spoken lanuage, but i hope u can read this anyway
So lets get started.
I recently sold my old Gaming Rig to start a new build project with a powerfull mini itx pc

I have never done a custom watercooling so this is a first for me if you got any inputs plz let me know.
the main theme of this build is going to be Red and Black (of course) alot of my inspiration comes from watching alot of other builds researching and stuff.
i want this to be as clean as possible when its done so im prolly gonna make a custom front top and side panel.
Lets get started!
- Recived some of the components needed for my Little Impacter
Before the stripping of the case
Time to pull this little fella appart
Drilling out the rivvets so i can turn the front upside down (or else the fan connector wont fit cause of the H100i in the top of the case.
luckily i had one of theese in my shed.
and off it goes super easy should anyone want to try this.
and now its back on again.
Front view
Starting the assembly MB Front 230mm Fan and Back 140mm fan is in
In goes the H100i and the 16Gb of Memory.
I switched the original fans from the H100i with the SP 120 Quiet Edition
at first i mounted the SSD here but changed my mind later on since i didnt have room for my WD Black
Time to install the fan controller
The problem with this is the 5.25 bay is to big to sit in the bottom of the case and i needed the mounting holes for the Fan controller so i made a CHOP CHOP
So now it fits ( I actually ended up not using the mount at all but pictures will show later. )
The PSU Would actually fit normally in the case but u had to use quite some force to get it in there. so i found some old MB standoffs and used theese to get a little bit of ekstra room
This is it for now since im waiting for more material to continue building but here are some tempoary piuctures.
I know the color looks pink but its really not the flash from my phone turned i....
Its a nice Dark Red
And a overview of my desktop ( its a bit messy yes )
Future Plans Include
Full Custom Watercooling Custom Start / Reset Switch on the left side of the case Custom temp Sensor Display on the Left side of the case. Custom Side Panels Custom Sleeved Cables and Plugs.
All will be made in poly carbon glass and Aluminium Plates
I hope u liked it so far stay tuned for more updates
Write a comment if u have any good advice for me or my build
Thanks Everyone!!
