  1. i had a feeling that there may not be a "cheap solution" thank you for all your input guys, I will deffo give this all a think over- if any one else have any ideas please do update the post. I will let you all know if there is any progression of this topic on my side.
  2. At a later stage we will be adopting tunnels and this will be something i will defo look into thanks for the tip!
  3. Interesting, so my first idea, albeit a slightly crude idea, was to install a 4g modem at ground level and install a series of AP's such as the TP link nano TP-LINK TL-WR702 which cost around £16 towards that 4g modem. I guess that speed will be an issue with this setup regarding the transfer of data to and from mobile devices and access points due the hardware limitations or will this actually work?
  4. Hi, thank you for your response, Mobile data pack would be ideal however as we are working underground reception is a bit of an issue.
  5. Good Afternoon all, Long time reader first time poster here, i was wondering if any of you networking guru's will be able to help me with an issue my team are facing on our construction site. As we are moving to a more tech forward scene within the construction industry we are trying to go paperless on our construction site, so filling out task briefing sheets and viewing drawings on site; we want to be able to use our tablets as oppose to using Paper (of course within a tech approved zone on the site - away from moving plant)! the scope of works we are dealing with is constructing a new station ticket box, the issue we are having is as we are progressing further down the box to lower levels, where we were previously relying on our 4g data, we now have no signal. The plan is to try and install WIFI on to our site so we can have internet access no matter where we are, to get an understanding of what works will be required, I thought it may be best to see if anyone has had any previous experiences with installing WiFi solution or trying to get WiFi connection in remote areas? is anyone aware or suggest any cheap solution we can try an implement ourselves? Thanks in advanced for reading the post, if you require any further information i will try my best to facilitate.
