    So i have the Asus Maximus VII Hero and want to get the Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB. My motherboard has a M.2 Socket 3 which supports 2260/2280 storage devices (PCIE Mode).     2400mhz because its only $15-$5 increase. the 730 because its currently 56% off so its the same price. 2 HDD's for raid.

    This will be my first build and im wanting to make sure everything is compatible and will work. pcpartpicker I all ready have a mouse, keyboard, DVD-ROM and some monitors and a copy of windows. This will be for gaming and possibly some 3D animation (Blender). Just would like any advise before actually clicking the purchase button for this big order.

    I plan on building a new system and in it I would like a Intel Core i7-4790K and 2 Gtx 980's running in SLI so from linus's video i understand they will be running in 8x and they cant run lowwer because then they wont support SLI so does this mean i can't add any other PCI using hardware like soundcards, wifi, bluetooth, ect...(I do know that i could get USB versions but i would prefer PCI). Please explain if it can or can't?
