Be very careful with sites like G2A
  2. Funny you mention that. I took my RX480 back and decided to swap it out for an Asus Strix GTX1060 6GB (some OC ROG edition). Umart said they normally charge a 20% restocking fee but waived it for me :). Brought my card home, opened up my case and realised, omfg it's way too small. So back to the shop I went to get a Cougar PANZER Dual Tempered Glass tower (thought I'd also pick a liquid cpu cooler while I was at it). First time since my GTX480 that I've owned an Nvidia card. Thanks for all the help everyone. EDIT: No problems whatsoever gaming. No crashes, no slow downs. Very disappointed AMD managed to screw that up so badly, especially considering the amount of people who are having that exact problem.
  3. :'( I have the Gigabyte version now I thought it would be better
  4. Which RX480 would be a good replacement though? Obviously keeping the 8gb version though. edit: also isn't the 1070 a lot more expensive?
  5. Yeah, I've tried it at 1500, 1800 and 1900, still the same thing.
  6. I've tried, no matter how low I put the voltage it still crashes and every time it does, when I restart windows I get a "radeon settings have been reset due to unexpected system failure" or some such thing. There are so many people on the AMD forums having this problem and from what I've seen, very few of them have managed to solve their problems. The only 2 fixes I've seen have been yours and RMA'ing the card for a 1060. I bought the card 1 week ago today and in that time, I've yet to be able to spend a single 45 minute session on a game. If I do get this refunded, what would be the best replacement for it? Keeping in a similar price range, but the best performance I can get for that price?
  7. Gigabyte G1 8gb version EDIT: All updates for Win 10 have been installed (there was over 5gb O.O....I think I left that a little too long). Problem still persists
  8. And now I'm getting a "Video Event Scheduler" or "handler" (or something like that) blue screen and my radeon drivers are crashing. I emailed AMD support and am still awaiting a reply. Have also tried asking on the AMD forums and the AMD subreddit, so far no dice. If I can't fix it by tomorrow, I'm just going to return it. Too much screwing around :/. EDIT: AMD have recommended I update my BIOS (already done) and install all updates for windows and all of my drivers on my pc. Still updating windows now.
  9. Uninstalled with DDU, reinstalled drivers from back at the beginning of the year. Ran Furmark with Xtreme burn-in and Post-FX on 1080p for 10 minutes. Ran fine, only got to 81c. Jumped in a game, managed to play for 30 or so minutes with all graphics on max (lasted longer than it has before), but then it crashed again. I'm almost considering buying a new Mobo, CPU and ram just to rule out every bloody thing. Rather not have to if I can avoid it. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare mobo or cpu to test out, to see if they are the problem. EDIT: Looking on the AMD forums this seems to be a relatively common problem, haven't found anyone with a solid fix though :(. https://community.amd.com/search.jspa?facet=content&q=RX480 crash&sort=relevanceDesc
  10. Should I use DDU to uninstall my current drivers? Or is that not necessary?
  11. I transferred it over to the other hard drive (I have the actual windows install running on my SSD, which is fine, but is only 60gb so all of my games are on the other drives). Took a VERY long time to transfer and even kept failing multiple times, so I think that drive is on it's last legs :'(. All of my games are installed on it too, so I hope I can transfer them all off without it dying on me x.x. Still crashed unfortunately, how do I roll back to a previous driver version?
  12. I don't see any rust or corrosion on any of the cable connectors or ports. Memtest came up with nothing, but the S.M.A.R.T test for the HDD I was using came back with a 0% fitness and a number of errors so I'm transferring Doom and Furmark to my other HDD which passed the test fine. Will report back after I test it (Doom is an 80GB transfer). Will try another PCIE slot if it still fails.
  13. I'll have to go to bed (got work at 6 in the morning). But I'll run those tests when I get home from work tommoz and then post back, cheers.
  14. What specifically should I be looking for? The cables all seem to be fine.
  15. No, the 3 monitors just go a solid colour (each one a slightly different colour) and the computer locks up entirely. It's only begun happening since I installed my RX480.
