  1. Tough choice between the amazing aluminum build quality and the expandable memory slot. But my favourite thing about the M8 has to be the SD card slot. How is 16GB even acceptable in this day and age for a smart phone? I mean, come on, load a couple of movies and apps onto it and you've already filled up most of the phone's capacity. Not to mention trying to load your music library on there! Or the fact that the OS itself takes up a good chunk of the 16GB to begin with. Sure some people may argue that you can just stream music and movies over the cloud, but what happens if you're on an airplane and you have no access to the cloud? And not everyone has constant access to Wi-Fi or unlimited data plans. Having an expandable memory slot for SD cards, on top of the amazing build quality, is why I think the HTC One M8 is the best phone of 2014.
  2. Noticed Linus has worn these for past couple streams. He always recommends the 7H, I wonder what his thoughts are on the 5Hv3 vs 7H? I really did love my v2's. Too bad they randomly broke after just 2 years I already have HD558s now, but for only $80 these look really tempting lol.
  3. Haha, didn't even notice your name. And sorry didn't notice that you also said you don't like the glossy finish and that you changed your mind. Yea if you want a TKL then a QFR is prob your best bet. Can be found for fairly cheap and it doesn't have a glossy finish, it's more of a rubber coating
  4. The new Das keyboards aren't manufactured in Taiwan anymore.. so the quality is reported to be lower, but you said you don't care about the specs and shit so other than that it's a decent board. I personally wanted one, but the glossy finish is a deal breaker for me. Two of my friends have a Das and say it gets dirty and they have to clean it often. You said you already have experience with mechanical keyboards so if you like Brown switches, and the glossy finish is not a problem to you, then I would say go for it. Also note that the USB hub passthroughs are located on the right side of the keyboard which is weird and can be a problem (eg. if you plug something in there and it sticks out and you might bump it with your mouse)
  5. Ducky is the next Razer :P I agree with what you said.. but doesn't change the fact that people are STILL going to continue posting/asking "What keyboard should I get for game X", sorry if that was your goal with this post lol Some people just NEED to be told what to buy and can't make a decision on their own apparently haha. The exact same thing applies to the mouse, as you said, it's personal preference and up to you to decide which feels better and what features/functionality you need. Like a lot of people rave about Blue switch, tenkeyless boards.. but I personally find Blue switch to be horrible for gaming, and I actually need and use the numpad. Desk space is not an issue for me, so even though many may recommend me to get a MX Blue TKL board (if I were to ask that question), it's totally not for me. So other people can't answer the question for you. it's up to the individual to try it and decide for themselves.
  6. LOL. I ended up picking up a QFR also and returned the G710+. I still prefer Brown switches over the Blues on this QFR though, hopefully I can find someone who is willing to trade :D
  7. Oh lol, sorry just the way you worded it, I assumed you were using MX blues with o-rings. Yea I agree.. I had the g710+ and also didn't like how the o-rings felt either and ended up taking them off.
  8. Gaming on XB500 is a no-go. I used to own them a couple years back. They have too much bass and the positional audio is bad. Play a shooter game and you won't be able to hear whether shots are coming from left/right, behind you or infront. All you'll hear is a bunch of loud explosions and rumbles.
  9. Who told you to use o-rings on blues? lol They don't even silence the Blues, and aren't the solution to the OP's problem. And the Snowball is a condenser mic btw
  10. Don't use Blues and all your problems in life will go away and solve themselves :D
  11. You said you're "absolutely happy" with the sound of your ST, so the STX is a reasonable option. If you really want to spend double (almost triple) to get something like the Essence One then go ahead.. up to you if you think it's worth the money. Remember you could always sell the ST and make back some of that money. Personally if I were you I would just save my money and get the STX, instead of the One, and put that $300-$400 that you saved towards something else like a better graphics card?
  12. I don't know, but personally I find the "naming scheme" to be more confusing than helpful. Nobody calls it MX1A-L1xx, we just call them Reds.
  13. This guide seems pretty confusing. even to someone like me who knows quite a bit about Cherry MX switches.. Seems like just a bunch of numbers and specifications copied and pasted together. lol Just wondering, are you the guy from the stream who called in and asked how to go about citing the work or giving credit for a tutorial/guide? :P
  14. Yea? I'm pretty damn sure those are Brown switches because if you look at the Specifications it even says 45g actuation force. If they were Blues it would say 50g. I know for certain that the Stealth edition of the Tournament Edition is using MX Browns.. so I'm pretty sure the Stealth edition of the Ultimate is also MX Browns.. edit: I mean like look it even says "Silent mechanical keys for superior tactility and faster response"... Silent + tactile = Browns Don't know why everyone said they're blue without even reading..
  15. Haha yea same here. Back to using the membrane kb while I try to sell the Blue or trade it for a Brown. I already knew Blues weren't the switch for me and always hated them.. but I still ended up picking one up anyway.. like a true fool lol. And I heard about the Blues not being good for gaming but I didn't really believe it or think about it until I experienced it first hand. It really is an annoying problem, which just makes me hate Blues even more than before lol.
