WAIT HOLD UP. WE DONT WANT LINUS'S PERSONAL PC. The case has a lot of meaning to him guys. It was a gift from his wife. I believe it was the first gift from her too.
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

Hey just a quick update with some pictures of all the parts I have got so far. I nearly have everything together and will be ready for the leek test .

Been testing out my NB e-loops along with a swiftech PWM splitter. Very happy with the e-loops and the splitter works great in windows but post dose not like it at all.

Been flushing out the rads along with everything else. found out what a pain it is to drain a loop.

Hope you all enjoy this update.
Just waiting on a few fittings then i can leek test and have a cpu loop running until EVGA get some water blocks back in stock.

If you are using vinegar to flush, be sure to then use a pH buffer to bring back the pH to near 6.5 (pH of distilled water) else some coolants will crash out of solution.

It's always nice to fallback on if you can't finish your build right away, or if the GPU is DOA. Makes things a bit easier to diagnose.
I somewhat agree though, I wonder what would happen if they went ALL out on CPU and forgot about IGPU

Well evga have become pretty big into the psu market and these are more additions, we have the 850w G2 and 750w G2 versions which are both 80+ gold. They are fully modular, they also have some fancy fan controls so you can tell the psu to stfu so you can do your "stuff" in peace whatever that may be.

Sadly EVGA only put a 10 year warrenty in these psus so give them to your grand child, @LinusTech if mini-mini-linus doesnt have one of these then there will be a problem.

about the pump, thats fine.  the only part you gotta worry about is the port thats pointing to the side in the pic is never pointed down, any orientation that follows that rule is fine

about the fans.  you can spin the GT's (and may other fans) faster (more air pressure and flow) than the NF-F12's for a given noise level.  for example in the vid posted above, the GT's at 1450 rpm were quieter than the Noctua's at a little under 1k rpm.  and that was 4 GT's on a rad vs 1 Noctua stand alone.  And the Noctua's get louder when mounted in a pull config (not sure about push, never tried it) on a rad than stand alone.

I think the disc - less version could be a very bad idea. I can see many parents going into stores to buy their kid a xbone and picking up the disc - less one as it will be cheaper, not realising the difference. This can be a problem as many people still don't have fast enough braudband to download full games and many still have download limits.

Make sure the K-Boost feature is turned off. K-Boost locks the GPU to its overclocked state.

If you have EVGA Precision, click on the voltage settings and you should see the "K-Boost" option.
